Pretty dense that stretch. It really is apparent, however, that the place has, in general, little history.

North York, though soaring, has some kind of limbo dancing happening: how low can you go?

Banality-- thy name is North York. Having said that, it is clear that North York is developing one of the 5 best skylines in Canada, on par with Halifax, Winnipeg, Ottawa, etc.

Great photos.

I used to hate North York... but I can't help but be fascinated by it's incredible growth.

I've always liked North York, the skyline is coming along very nicely and definitely has a place in the top 10 in Canada.

Really Nice pics...keep them coming.

Some true beasts, though. Minto Gardens, the brown brick tower, is simply freaking HORRID. ( Photo 21, 3rd form the bottom.) That second from the bottom is, perhaps, one of the ugliest buildings in Toronto.

Still, the quantity of buildings is quite something! See photos 6, 8, and 19.

North York still has one major problem: where do I go to paint the town red?

Wow... very dense. Proves how pointless that NYCC vs MCC thread was, cuz there is no comparison, and there will never be any.

These are nice pics, but you should try to take pictures so that the buildings aren't always leaning to the left.

Minto Gardens is nice on the inside, but ugly on the outside. The Shane Banhai Towers "Residences of Avondale" are really nice, and I think do an a good job of fitting in with the Menkes project located beside them. The Tridel project doesn't really fit in anywhere imo. I moved last year from Scarberia to NYCC and all I can say is that I won't be going back anytime soon. :)

I really like the brick at Minto Gardens but hate slabs. MG is a nice change from all the green glass and precast concrete but the shape ruins it. Excellent pics BTW.

If that Yonge St. strip duplicates itself along Sheppard -- wow! - it will truly be a second downtown.

^ you know the plan put thru for yonge corridor was a PLAN, no matter how much they tried, developers were not allowed to build other ways except by following mel's prescription. but the plan along sheppard is not so, there is no borderline service road, and baghai has been successfull in going his own way, why, because sheppard corridor has no plan or just a stupid one.

Uhhh, the buildings aren't leaning to the left. You are tilting your head to the right and it just looks that way. :jk:

Optima and that TransAmerica tower have been great fillers!

I don't know why but the aerial pics remind me a lot of Dubai. How almost every tower is on Yonde street reminds me of how Duabi has all their towers on one street too. ;)
