This seems to be the standard look for Toronto these days.

Looks ok to me...good density and street treatments.

Nice and modern...could use a little more height though.

Has this been officially released yet?

No offence to Goodwill and the services they provide - but this will help renew Jarvis.

This site along with some of the Homeless shelters that line Jarvis seem to keep this street from reaching it's true potential. This should really help clean up the area.

King St. East, seems to be completely developed - so it looks like were seen the trend to move north.

Not bad, I really like the use of brick. Higher retail would be nice though...though when it's built it will probably be higher than it seems here.

The winning bid for the Goodwill site according to the city re-zoning application went to Hariri Pontarini

It's a shame they're not going to keep anything from that site. There are currently a couple of decent historical buildings there. Nothing crazy, just nice filler for our... er, "old town". The site across the street was also approved for a condo development and will in some way incorporate Toronto's first post office building and it's neighbour... now that's a blow to our heritage. Does anybody even care anymore?

Judging by previous demolitions the answer is a resounding NO!

P.S. take a look at all the frankenstein buildings in the city that "preserve" old structures by building above and around it!

Ugly facadism, I suggest, might be worthy of mandating in our planning! Get rid of debate and confusion-- save the facade, and build a cheaped out glass and pre-cast box on top.

Now you're talking, brother! Long Live Facadism!

First off, there's nothing from before the 50's/60's within the Goodwill complex. The Goodwill buildings are nothing special. The few old buildings on this block (north part of Jarvis and on Richmond) are not part of Goodwill and will not be part of this new complex.

Second, the condo across the street is for the PARKING LOT BEHIND Toronto's First Post Office and the building next to it. Toronto's First Post Office is going nowhere.

Calm down a little folks.

"Calm down a little folks."

Ah...they like to get all worked up...even if there is no reason.

The smaller heritage buildings on the north-west corner of the site are not involved.....this is what you are trying to save.....
