KLCC Property Holdings Bhd expects it's latest commercial development Lot C, to contribute about RM100 million to group revenue in the coming financial year. The current financial year ends December 31 2011.

The office tower portion will be taken up by Petronas and named Petronas Tower 3. Petronas is expected to move in early 2012.

The retail portion already has 22 tenants, and full occupancy is expected by September 2011.

Just want to leave a note here. Beauty of skyscraper has no boundary. You can set up another similar burj here or petronas towers elsewhere, if we want to. so when come to winning, the cup does not represent the country pride, but rather our ownself pride for liking a particular tower tht turn out to be the most popular.

Nothing has been switched on yet, not even office lights, at this moment. Of course when the floodlights come on, Petronas 3 will look as impressive as its next door neighbor!

if im not wrong, the 1800W floodlights have been installed except the office entrance side. as for the office floor progress, the triangular zone still have much left to do before a full scale lighting is tested.

on the beacon light, i think thats ll be only mounted on the roof because there is no requirement on the building sides. not sure how the beacon light ll turn out be since the top part of the crown will be glowing at night. pic below was their original plan on the top with a huge signage:

No actually.............Looks pretty much the same:) One thing i noticed was that they were constructing covered walkways outside Lot 10 all the way to outside Parkroyal so thats great:)

Wow, the almost-completed Petronas 3 looks really impressive... It's like a more updated version of Raffles City Tower in Singapore, but with three sides and greater height!

ERMENEGILDO Zegna has been a longtime tenant at Suria KLCC since Petronas Twin Towers opened in 1997. Recently, the time arrived for the boutique to move — a few steps away to the next corner.

“Suria KLCC has opened its new luxury annexe and our immediate neighbours are Chanel, Cartier and Giorgio Armani, so we are pleased to be located in a prime position in this exclusive enclave,” said Melium president Datuk Farah Khan, who holds the coveted franchise.

True to Ermenegildo Zegna’s style, the new boutique, slightly bigger than the previous one, is an exercise in understated elegance and style.

Like Zegna’s garments, the opening was done in good taste, with pricey canapes and finger food from Mandarin Oriental’s Grill proffered to distinguished guests while Moet & Chandon flowed from a bottomless source. Zegna dresses most of Malaysia’s business elite and royalty, and many turned up to show their support.

The guest of honour was the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, a known Zegna wearer.

True to form, the Sultan arrived with minimal protocol and proceeded to cut the ribbon with Farah and Ermenegildo Zegna managing director Alessandro Raniolo.

The other guest of honour was the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Dr Nazrin Shah Sultan Azlan Shah.

As I was standing akimbo by the entrance, Raja Nazrin grinned: “The way you stand you look like the proprietor of this shop,” and added “I am here alone” when I asked the whereabouts of his entourage.

He strode off and even looked back to nod at me 10 metres away to prove he was indeed a people’s prince without any pretensions.

Songbird of the operatic species Shafinaz Selamat sang several Italian opera numbers including Nessun Dorma which was rapturously received.

Emcee Henry Golding and 10 handsome hunks in Ermenegildo Zegna Sartorial, Upper Casual Collection and Zegna Sport mingled with the crowd, allowing guests to see the impeccably cut apparel up close on a breathing torso.

The Sultan of Selangor stayed on for a private dinner at The Grill at Mandarin Oriental hosted by Farah.

Happy new year guys! I tried watching fireworks of KLCC from Brickfields yesterday but sadly not much was visible, I thought there were no fireworks from there. We should do what HK/Taipei did, fireworks coming out from the buildings, since we already have a cluster of building around KLCC park. Anyway, I wonder why Menara Carigali's design is similar to PTT, makes them look boring.

If im right when the PPT had its grand opening there was a good firework show with fireworks shooting out off the towers. I wish they did the same for new year. The new years fireworks look a bit lame I have too say compared to other cities...

So after 4 long weeks (I cannot believe I have been in Singapore for a month already), I finally started exploring the surroundings! I started with a short trip to Kuala Lumpur (nobody calls it by its full name, its conveniently dubbed “KL”) and although I was glad once upon return to SG, I was happy that I went. It’s not that KL is a beautiful “must-see” city of South-East Asia. It’s not even a “must-see” destination. It’s nothing but a concrete jungle with the appropriate S.E. Asian dirt-level. Sort of like the evil-dirty-little twinbrother of Singapore. It’s not that I am complaining at ALL, no I was actually happy to SEE all of the evil, the omnipresent poverty and social misery, cockroaches and maggots feeding on rats, beggars and thugs, shanty places, dirt and disgust. It is exactly this picture that is seemingly kept hidden in SG, the facet that is covered with sheets, kept away from the public. You won’t ever see any beggar on the streets of SG at daylight, no trash and no disgust. It almost appears to be FAKED, like a thick make-up covering the boardwalks of metro-Singapore. So once we arrived in KL, I was glad to see all that which was hidden from my eyes for 4 weeks but which I inevitably relate to Asia, what I was waiting and looking for. In this respect, it was an acclimating trip into the authenticity of an Asian metropolis rather than a sight-seeing tour. But let’s start with the beginning.

That's what i like about KL and BKK too. Dirty n messy. :nuts: KL is always my favourite city in the world.

This guy is saying this about Asia because of his view that asians are backwards. Anything modern and advanced is just a "facade". He cannot swallow the fact that Singapore is even better than the place he comes from, and therefore calling the city "fake". When he came to KL, he immediately started to look for the faults of this city without appreciating the good things (note: he did not mention anything good in KL at all!). However, our pride should not be wounded; in fact, we should to listen to what he had to say and improve on these issues in our cities. Otherwise we only aim to "prove him right". I think Petronas has started to realize that the skyline of KLCC looks so unbalanced.. even with this tower, which is very much dwarfed by the twin towers and looks a bit strange with the "songkok" on top of it. Expect much taller towers in that area soon.

Saw some light installation on the 'crown' of the building....changes colour every few seconds

wow thats great! what colour they have?

the usual....blue, red, green, orange, purple etc etc

Seems that they are still testing out different lighting

Partial Road Closure Announcement
In preparation for the TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012, the concert management in collaboration with the police and Kuala Lumpur City Hall wish to inform of partial road closures along several roads within the immediate vicinity of the concert venue.

The scheduled partial closure will take place from 5.00p.m to 3.00a.m on 23rd and 24th March and will affect the following roads:
1. The intersection of Jalan Ampang and Persiaran KLCC, closest to Maxis Tower
2. Main intersection of Jalan Ampang, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng and Jalan P Ramlee
3. Jalan P Ramlee from the main intersection towards the intersection with Jalan Pinang
4. The intersection of Jalan Pinang and Persiaran KLCC
5. Persiaran KLCC infront of the two towers
