View Full Version : STAVANGER | Jåttåvågen (Hinna Park)
Þróndeimr January 13th, 2005, 08:52 PM Hinna Brygge & Fjordspeilet
Hinne Brygge and Fjordspeilet is a major high-rise project in Hinna Park, Stavanger. The project contains 4 high-rise buildings which is approved and under construction. When completed this complex of residential buildings will contain nearly 150 apartments. All the four towers will not be built with exact same shape and design. The towers will face to each different location, and all of them will own different colors as facade.
Hinna Park
Vision
Hinna Park aims to be one of Scandinavia’s most varied and exciting business and residential areas.
In addition, the area will contribute strongly to regional development and cultural variety.
Specific Targets
The Local Authority area plan will create infrastructure for a new suburb with between1 500 to 2000 dwelling
units and 5 000 to 8 000 new jobs. The development site is 570 000 m² of which approx. 360 000 m² is
planned for housing, business acreage and services.
The Tower
The Jåttåvågen Leaning Tower is symbolic of an era. A 60 metre high dinosaurs leg is a reminder of
an era when gigantic concrete platforms for the oil industry were the supreme state of art.
Today the tower is both a memorial to a bygone era and a yardstick for our ambitious plans, which explains
the reason why the tower forms part of the Hinna Park logo. Hinna Park will integrate residential and
business areas, moving the boundaries for how we work and live in compact, dynamic and technologically
advanced surroundings – with the Leaning Tower as the central pivot.
Cluster
Centred on the knowledge we have as a leading region in the global oil and gas field, Hinna Park will be a
hotbed of knowledge driven business potential, and new technologically advanced industry.
Hinna Park will be the spawning ground for the new generation of service companies supplying the global energy market.
Already we see contours of petro-maritime business cluster building on the region’s strong position and skills –
with the will and ability to transform this knowledge resource into potential competitive advantage.
Hinna Park will include companies yet to be founded that will carry out businesses we have yet to name.
We will be home to companies which will influence and perhaps change the industrial structure of our
region for good – and that will themselves be successful in changing in step with the developments they
help drive. Simultaneously we will be recruiting resource people and environments with an intimate
understanding of the way knowledge based businesses create value, capable of giving a name to these future
developments.
At a time when distance is no longer a barrier the value of physical nearness is often overlooked.
But nearness means something. Nearness creates an environment. A climate facilitating cross fertilisation,
development and networking. Many attempts have been made to explain why Silicon Valley became Silicon Valley,
but physical nearness between innovative og strong development environments is maybe the
most important reason?
Prospects
If your company is looking for highly advanced, attractive premises in an environment of knowledge,
skill and enthusiasm – get in touch! You will meet up with many exciting colleagues sharing your company’s
objectives: namely to succeed in international competition, create new solutions, in the process of
which you’ll create added value for your company, customers, employees and owners as well as the community
at large.
Housing
More important than houses are the people who bring life to and in between the buildings. We therefore
feel that the people who would want to buy or rent a place to live at Hinna Park are young – regardless of age.
They are open and inquisitive, vibrant and willing to exploit the possibilities which the area has to offer.
At Hinna Park you don’t just buy a house, you are also offered a quality of life which includes nearness to
the sea and outstanding nature, a varied selection of services and neighbours who contribute to the creation
of an attractive new suburb.
A relentless requirement with housing is flexibility, both in size and cost. The houses must be adaptable
to the occupants’ requirements as these change over time. Children arrive and children move out,
and maybe mum would like to convert the old nursery into the first head office for the new company she
is setting up? Flexible use, access, high quality and service are key words with which to meet the future.
The dwellings will have urbane qualities, enhancing the qualities of the area with reference to aspects such
as good light, air and views.

Insane alex January 15th, 2005, 02:34 AM Very nice project! :)
NorthStar77 January 17th, 2005, 09:53 AM Wow, this is huge! In total this project is more than half the size of Bjørvika. Bjørvika will change Oslo quite alot, so I wonder how Hinna will effect Stavanger, wich is only 1/4 of Oslo.
Christian, do you know where Hinna is in Stavanger? Is there a map? Thank you for showing this, I was not even aware of its existance, silly me. I hope there will be more updates on the other towers. Will all the towers look like Hinna Brygge A?

I posted a few illustrations at my first post where you see Hinna Park situated in Jåttåvågen south of Stavanger...:) And it will be more update ion the other towers. Just received a lot of fresh images from phase B two weeks ago. I'm waiting to they is released on the nett, then ill post them here. The four towers will looks quite the same in shape. But the colors is different. The first one is green, while the second one is white. More i don't know. The towers will also be situated a bit different as you can see on the map in my first post. Tower B and D will face the sea while tower A and C is facing the other way.
NorthStar77 January 17th, 2005, 05:49 PM Okay, thanks Christian. I will watch out for updates on this thread for sure!
Devilution January 18th, 2005, 12:55 PM Pretty nice indeed! In my opinion, it´s often how the waterfront is built and planned that makes the city look good. Of course there are other important factors as well (like a decent number of high-rises in downtown ;)), but the waterfront is one of the most noticeable features of a city, and therefore it has quite an importance on the overall look of a city.
Anyway, the design of these buildings is pretty harsh and boxy but not too much so. I would have preferred a little more detail or curved shapes but thats just me ;)
Þróndeimr January 24th, 2005, 05:48 PM I've now finally been able to update some more images from Hinna Brygge B. Its the same images as show in the homepage, and is the first good images from Hinna Brygge B. On the homepage you'll also able to find some small videos from both towers, but the page is in Norwegian.
Mantas January 24th, 2005, 06:17 PM Cute project :okay:
Gatis January 24th, 2005, 06:51 PM I like the quality of architecture. It looks very well balanced and rather futuristic (because on water)
Þróndeimr January 24th, 2005, 07:12 PM I like the quality of architecture. It looks very well balanced and rather futuristic (because on water)
Yea i agree, but i afraid that the final results may be a bit dissapointing, especally at Hinna Brygge B. I've seen a lot of architecture with white facade mixed with rather grey steel beams and walls. The tower might look a bit cold, with a rather dull architecture.
Þróndeimr January 24th, 2005, 07:48 PM In my opinion, it´s often how the waterfront is built and planned that makes the city look good.
Stavanger has a lot of waterfront projects going on. Several buildings between 7 and 10 floors has been built and is still under construction. There is also a huge waterfront project closer to downtown with high-rise buildings over 20 floors, and many cultural buildings. I know i posted a thread about it a year a go or perhaps even more. Ill post a new thread if i receive news from the project.
I also read a article about another waterfront project. Abour 2 300 apartments is planned, including a large signal tower situated on a small island close to the main waterfront. But i haven't seen anything more from that project yet.
Þróndeimr January 26th, 2005, 12:11 AM The fate of Hinna Brygge C is been deceidet these days. The tower is fully approved, but the owners will only built the tower if the apartments in Hinna Brygge B is sold. So i just checked out how this is working out. And Hinna Brygge B looks to be very attractive, but not as attractive as Hinna Brygge A was in december though.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/cityx/Architecture/HinnaBryggeJanuar24.jpg
9 apartments is sold in Hinna Brygge B, while only one apartments reminds in Hinna Brygge A. (http://www.hinnabrygge.no/BT1_T7.swf) Hinna Brygge B has 24 vacent apartments left, and most of them need to be sold to continue with Hinna Brygge C.
Þróndeimr February 3rd, 2005, 06:35 PM Well, i have a new update here...:)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/cityx/Architecture/HinnaBryggeFabruar3.jpg
2 more apartments has been sold, both in Hinna Brygge B. So, 11 out of 33 apartments is sold to this day. In the whole Hinna Brygge complex there is 43 out of 66 sold apartments.
Þróndeimr March 30th, 2005, 05:31 PM I will as soon as passible make some new renderings and maps of the buildings. But meanwhile i don't got any more news than a new update about the salesment on the apartments.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/cityx/Architecture/HinnaBryggemarch30.jpg
sander March 30th, 2005, 07:13 PM Great project. General plan of project is typical imo, but towers are just great, regardless they are boxy.
Þróndeimr July 1st, 2005, 10:34 PM 8,2 mill. for Hinna-leilighet
I alt blir 33 leiligheter bygd i to byggetrinn ytterst på bryggekanten i Hinna Park-komplekset.

Fjordpiren, a distinctive office building in the Hinna Park Area is now close to finished.
The building has two main components: a five floor high-rise building and a pier with three floors. Under the building there is a parking basement that is molded waterproof.
None of the five floors of high-rise building is similar.
Fjordpiren has a total of 16,000 square meters. The office portion is 12,000 square feet, providing space for 460 office workplaces with high standards. The underground parking has room for 69 cars. The pier consists of a cafeteria, with a capacity of barely 200 people. The office building will mostly consist of companies in the oil, gas and finance sectors.

I wonder how much more of Jåttåvågen they can develop before they need more entrances, or at least a widening of the existing one.
