I think there should be some more high-rises around the area of the space needle. The skyline just feels like it's missing something, like an awing skyscraper or supertall that would compliment the surrounding buildings.

Absolutely stunning mountain backdrop. The skyline is well-spaced and dense. I'd love to see another taller skyscraper (250 + meters) on the northern end of it.

So would most of us who live here. There are quite a few locals that would love to see a more gradual step down on the southern end of dt. :)

The best skyline in the Pacific coast in my opinion, better than Vancouver, but lesser than San Francisco

I'd definitely put Vancouver ahead of Seattle or SF.

Anyways, 8.5/10 for Seattle from me. :)

Fabulous pictures on this page. I absolutely love the tall, slender Bank of America building, especially for it's beautiful black cladding. I wish more skyscrapers would go for black cladding I am so fed up with all the blue glass, but it's great how blue doesn't dominate this skyline.

But people seem to be going to far giving this 9 or 10/10. Those levels must be reserved for the best, like NY and Chicago. Such marks imply Seattle is at that level when it's clearly not.

Or maybe people are comparing Seattle's skyline with comparably sized skylines, in a sort of 'second division' league as it were. If that's so, maybe these high marks are justified.

I'll give it an 8.

idk the seventh i think Seattle in a world comparison gets about a 9 at least. from forums that vote for the best skylines in the world Seattle is always in the rankings of 9-13. i don't think that's second tier.

Seattle needs more buildings that are tall and amazing

I think Seattle's skyline is one of the best in the world. It's amazing how they made such a beautiful skyline with not an abundance of skyscrapers, and on top of that they managed to build what seems to be exclusively beautiful skyscrapers that all blend together very well. I think it's the world's most successful skyline in the sense that it matches the landscape perfectly, it describes the city without knowing anything about the city, overall just an amazingly beautiful skyline. Dubai, take notes.

What's the tallest u/c tower right now? I think it needs 1-2 more 600+ foot towers to really even out the skyline and make it more impressive

Agreed! I think Seattle's skyline is the best per skyscraper in the World. And by that I mean even with a relatively small number of skyscrapers Seattle finds a way to compete with the big dogs. I also think the former Wamu Headquarters (not the new one, but the 1980s one) and the Columbia Center are two of the most amazing buildings ever built, and they have such an appropriate look for Seattle.

^^ Wow! Those last two photos are amazing. Seattle's skyline looks so compact. Although still relatively on the small side, I hope Seattle's skyline will have more great additions in the near future along with those Amazon towers
