X-seed 4000 December 19th, 2002, 11:09 AM I'm not much of a fan of the day shots, but I absolutely love the night pics! 8/10... not bad for its size.
Darrell December 19th, 2002, 04:21 PM 9/10......Very impressive for a city under 1 million
Irish Blood English Heart December 19th, 2002, 11:56 PM not bad for a small city at all i like it 7/10
BG918 December 20th, 2002, 12:46 AM An impressive skyline for its size 10/10 (i know, i'm biased). Some more pics I particulary like:

Jeff from Winnipeg December 20th, 2002, 02:47 AM I really like the height this city has... not very dense though, but not that bad. ->8/10
mookiecece December 20th, 2002, 05:58 AM looks like it has more tall buildings than phoenix...... great for its size, 8/10
Kevinkhoo1986 December 21st, 2002, 05:25 PM an OK city.. 6.5/10
SUNNI December 25th, 2002, 03:23 AM the size is big compared to the population, but it just doesnt appeal right to me..
DaninTO December 25th, 2002, 10:12 PM I agree with everything that has been said, but i think that it needs something more to make it stand out. 7/10
SteelCity32 December 25th, 2002, 10:56 PM yeah it does need more. But it's fine for the relativly small city it is.
6.5/10
brunob December 26th, 2002, 12:12 AM 8/10
Yes Tulsa's downtown isn't big by any mean but it has the heigh!
It also has numerous Art Deco buildings, and that alone is cool.
DrumCorpsAlum January 27th, 2003, 11:13 PM 7.5/10. A moderate amount of variety. The skyline seems to be triangular, ie. comes to a definate facal point in the middle from certain angles. Balanced and not too spread out. This is yet another skyline that is inhanced by its surroundings. The riverfront and the bridge in front of it add to its appeal.
SeeMacau January 28th, 2003, 02:01 AM The skyline is OK and the skyscrapers are high
8/10
Wu-Gambino January 28th, 2003, 04:46 AM Tulsa has an awesome skyline! 8
Hacksaw January 28th, 2003, 07:33 AM Great skyline for a city of its size!

Pilot66 February 22nd, 2003, 09:20 PM 7.5 Not a bad looking city.
renell February 23rd, 2003, 05:31 PM not a bad skyline for such small population. it has some talls, and the scrapers are nicely clustered 6

Duke Togo March 28th, 2003, 08:05 AM Beautiful shot of the skyline in that previous pic!
Tulsa really needs to be more photographed; the mostly mediocre pics circulating the net just don't do it justice!
By the way, unless someone already has and I'm not aware of it, I'm hoping to be the first to take shots of Tulsa that are of proffesional quality and display what kind if city Tulsa really is!
Whether that's good or bad, we'll find out!
Caledon1981 March 28th, 2003, 10:13 AM BG took some good shots around town in the NA forum. . . . .

weirdo April 16th, 2003, 12:06 PM not very dense but scrapers has these good positions that make a very beautiful skyline. and the streets are clean. so 8.5/10 instead of 8/10.
BG918 April 21st, 2003, 10:03 PM Not too many cities its size have as many skyscrapers as Tulsa. Not only is there height though, there's also plenty of style in the form of Art Deco architecture:

I agree LOL! But it definitely is a conversation piece when visitors come to Tulsa for the first time. It's rumored that the new owners of Cityplex want to encase it in glass instead of that awful gold paneling. That would make it "easier on the eyes."
Caledon1981 April 23rd, 2003, 08:01 PM yeah, i heard that too BG, . . i think its the American Cancer society people that are going to take up for most of the towers .. . .
not to mention a parking garage, and surrounding shops and restaraunts. .. . that corner of 81st and Lewis would also be a great spot for a movie complex or a mini mall or a nice duck pond or something!!
Natedog784 April 26th, 2003, 04:58 AM That would make the City Plex look really different. I kind of like the idea. I've always thought the complex would look better with some smaller 15-20 story buildings around it, especially right on the corner of 81st and Lewis
BG918 May 8th, 2003, 09:52 PM Hey Natedog! I've seen your posts on the tulsanow.org forum, welcome to SSC. If you have any Tulsa pics, or any city pics, we would love to see them.
I start working at an architecture firm downtown next week as an intern, and I'll get some better downtown street shots if I can. I'm working on the 14th floor of this old Art Deco style building, it should be cool.
Ivan May 11th, 2003, 10:28 AM 8/10
Sun May 23rd, 2003, 04:51 PM I just went to Tulsa last night to pick up my sister from the airport we didn't have much time but I made sure we swung around downtown, we also ate in a neighborhood between 31st and 41st street along Peoria Avenue (I think it was called Brookside) or something similar to that.
Anyway, I was thoroughly impressed. It has a great skyline and a beautiful setting. I'll have to return.
Oh, and VERY impressive for its size!
8/10
*It won't let me vote right now, I'll try later but that is my vote above.
I have to post a couple more pics

1947, This pic is crazy, I'd hate to be down wind of THAT!

BG918 May 24th, 2003, 10:09 PM Sun, glad you enjoyed Tulsa! Brookside was a good choice for a place to eat. I think people have a different image of Tulsa and when they actually visit and explore the city they're pleasantly surprised.
Where did you find that 1947 pic? I work in that tall building to the right, on the 14th floor.
A good pic I took of the river and skyline (for those of you that don't look at the other pages :) ):

Not much impressive, but nice and some tall ones.
ParraMan January 13th, 2004, 01:13 AM 7.5
Has nice form from some angles, and definitely has height. I would ask though, is it too much height, considering Tulsa's size, and by the looks of it not much recent at all? Anyway nice skyline.
Henk September 10th, 2004, 10:37 AM 7.5/10
james2390 September 12th, 2004, 05:53 PM 7/10, I like the way the buildings are arranged.
DamienK December 22nd, 2004, 11:36 PM 7/10
MIMICA December 27th, 2004, 07:00 AM I would rate it pretty high like a 9 if it were just a city, but now that I see the city is under one million people! That changes everything! Very impressive! :) I give it a 10! :)
VanSeaPor March 30th, 2005, 09:35 AM Nice for a city under 1 million, 8/10.
MattSal March 31st, 2005, 03:18 AM Very good for its size, but no real interesting architecture. I give it a 6.5/10.
hauntedheadnc March 31st, 2005, 05:02 AM The skyline looks about right for the size of the city, but I'm most impressed with the collection of art deco structures. Art deco is by far my favorite style. 9.

Nouvellecosse June 16th, 2005, 03:21 PM It wasn't until I entered this thread that I realized that the popular avatar used by BG918, ASIABOY, and a number of other forumers is a picture of Tulsa. I always wondered what city that was, and I always assumed that it was a part of a large city like Melbourne or Los Angeles. I never thought that Tulsa would have much of a skyline. I'm definitely impressed. 8.5/10
Eddy Gordo July 18th, 2005, 08:17 PM city looks good! lots of height there. it makes cities like New Orleans and St. Louis look puny. :eek2: . 9/10

seemurray2 November 6th, 2005, 07:58 PM I think it's nice, and not just because I live there. Also, I don't know if most people realize it, but the tallest building in downtown is actually a half scale replica of the World Trade Center buildings in New York and was even designed by the same architect.

I thought it was a 1/3 replica? Tulsa has a nice skyline for a city its size and the show "Friends" helped make the Tulsa skyline famous... for a little while anyways :)

dmoor82 August 27th, 2011, 03:54 AM Tulsa is quit a tall city for it's size,it has 4 towers over 500ft' tall and two of which are over 600ft' tall!I'd say for a city under 400k and a metro under 1million it's skyline is ahead of the curve!

It's tall for a city of its size. I just wish the City Place (or whatever it's called) was in downtown. It's not too pretty, but it would add to the density.

royal rose1 January 15th, 2012, 09:58 PM Great skyline for a mid-sized city! Not very well known, but they don't hold back with the 'scrapers
