It has lots of superb turn of the (19) century buildings. It had a modern urban look long before the 1878 Liberation. I think it used to have trams in the early 20c but the system was closed (why?!? stupid communism!). the population is bout 150K, one of the biggest and most industrialised cities. It's a major Danube port.

absolutely stunning city. i would love to visit it, and take some of my own pictures, and mabye later on in my life, i will...btw, yes...the city does look extremely european, and it reminds me alittle of paris! :) i say, throw in some new modern high-rises in there, and i garentee that it will look absolutely amazing! :)
