Sheki.
Sheki is one of the most ancient cities of Azerbaijan founded nearly 2,700 years ago. Population is 162,100. City has preserved well its historic monuments and city lay-out. Its name appeared on Azerbaijan territory in VII century B.C. and originated from the name of "sak" tribe, having existed here for many centuries.
Sheki is famous for the 18th century Khan's summer palace. Besides the palace have a look at the fortress that envolves it.

Several industrial enterprises and construction firms of large economic potential are situated in Sheki. The list of Sheki enterprises is headed by world-known "Sheki-Silk" Company.
