Hey all, at about 10:45, I got a wild hair up my a**, pulled on my long-johns and snow boots, and I went out for a walk in the snow. I tried to get to Millennium Park before they closed at 11:00, but literally as I was snapping my first pic of one of the faces at the Plensa Fountain, they shut it off for the night. Damn!!!

Oh well, here are some of the pics I took tonight... Sorry if a couple of them are blurry, my digicam is an old fashioned 2 megapixel thing that dosn't do well at night, especially when it is dumping snow everywhere.

Nice, the snow looks so peaceful, and I guess the fact that not many people are out and about. You also captured the corner (Togos) with I met up with one of your city's forumers (pip) during my visit to Chicago back in September. Thanks for you sharing.

Awesome. I can't wait for the morning when there is 8+" on the ground. Walking around in the earling morning by yourself with a fresh blanket of snow is so peaceful.

Okay, I just poked my head outside to see what was happening. I live on Addison just east of Western and Addison is a "snow route" that requires all parked cars off of it by 2 AM for plowing. Anyway, the only cars on the street are a cab spinning its tires, an H2 just sitting there and some modified Honda that looks like it is straight out of "The Fast and The Furious" (also spinning its tires). Hilarious.

I have to laugh at places like North Carolina that shut the whole state down when there is an inch of snow. I also even have to laugh at places like Chicago that get concerned when 12" of snow fall. Head up to the upper penninsula of Michigan and they don't start caring about a snowstorm until two feet is on the ground.

We just got banged all day by snow here in Minneapolis. I had the balls to go driving in it at 2 AM. There is going to be more tomorrow because of all the drifting - something to look forward to.

lol - No guarantees, they mentioned 12-16 inches dropping.
