What is the gigantic hole just right of McDonalds House ?
It shouldn't be a MRT station here, right ? Or is it the depot for Circle Line or something like that ?
RafflesCity January 22nd, 2005, 12:19 PM Thanks...I think it will be the construction site for a short apartment at Handy Road. You can also see the Cathay building site further right ^^
you can also see the construction sites of Imperial & Visoncrest near the bottom left.

RafflesCity January 22nd, 2005, 01:29 PM Moulmein Rise looks tall cos its slim and its the tallest in its area, but Novena Square is an office building so I guess it has higher floor plates. I have a zoom-in of the Moulmein Rise area, will post when i upload it

hyacinthus January 22nd, 2005, 04:56 PM @HW

Or just pretend as restaurant patron? :D
huaiwei January 22nd, 2005, 05:37 PM 10% only meh? I just checked...my Debit card gives me 20% off! :D

hyacinthus January 23rd, 2005, 03:36 AM @All
Yes... 20% for ala-carte orders on UOB Credit/Debit Cards. Typo. :D But, there's service charge, so equivalent to only 10%... :P
Alternatively, if you are a big eater and with a big group of at least 4, can try their sichuan & cantonese ala-carte buffet at about $36 per pax with taxes & charges included and no further discounts.

Cliff January 23rd, 2005, 03:07 PM Does anyone know which is the tallest restaurant in Singapore?
Sichuan Dou Hua at UOB or The Tower Club Penthouse at Republic?
I have a feeling its the one at Republic, cos the club although starts at a lower level compared to UOB, but is 3 or 4 stories high, with the penthouse level on the 64th floor.
Cliff January 23rd, 2005, 03:10 PM Sorry, now I'm sure that the Tower Club is higher. From Hyacin's pic, you can see that the Entire club is above the horizon.(club starts where the glass slopes)

RafflesCity February 1st, 2005, 02:04 AM No direct lift... :(
thats actually part of tall building design. Having all lifts direct take up more floor space so its more efficient to stagger them. Same with Capital Tower and in Republic Plaza, each lift serves 2 floors :)

Is that the Sichuan Douhua restaurant above UOB?? I wonder how expensive is the food??
RafflesCity March 16th, 2005, 04:29 PM ^
yup..erm the food isnt that expensive..i guess it depends on what is ordered. About $35 per person is possible. Although I think there is a bar there where you can have just drinks. They serve dimsum as well as Sichuan cuisine. Will post some food pics :D
