It looks like a Pine Marten from the colour... they're quite rare here because they prefer Conifer forests so only really live in Scotland.

Here is a pic of the aussie possum there are quite abundant here on the east coast, i was walking on the streets with some friends and i saw him on the power lines. i thought the little bastard was gonna try and jump one of us, haha. so i just took the photo and left. they look pretty cool when they do the big jumps into trees and that.

We also have 2 massive assed blue tongue lizards (30cm+) that live in the backyard garden, we kind off put an old piece of downpipe in the backyard and buried it with some dirt and leaves so the bluey lives in there. we also have alot of small geckos that walk around the place too. Ohh and also a wasp nest (small one) on the clothes line.

We often had koalas and frilly neck lizards at school to. Our school was set in the bush with many native eucalyptus trees.

I spent many a day laughing at the mail man as the poor barstad got swooped, as he drove past our school on our lunch break.

I actually stacked the old deadly treadly (push bike) once when a magpie attacked me, i got scared and tryed to turn the bike around and stacked it, good thing i was wearin me skid lid (aussie slang for helmet) as it kept swooping me after i had fallen off. lol those were the days.....

yeah it once swooped me when i had my helmet on;)

This little creature (they also bite btw) can be found everywhere around Rottnest Island off the coast of Perth. Here they're playing around the kiosk area. The name Rottnest mean "rat nest" in Dutch. It was named by the Dutch sailors who first discovered the island in the late 1600s, who thought the whole island was infested by giant rats which were actually Quokkas :runaway:
