Samsung was planning to build a 111 stories high landmark HQ, but the plan was stifled by the Asian economic crisis of 1997. Now, Samsung is already working on the foundations of three new HQs, each 43, 34, 32 stories high in the Seocho District of Seoul. Samsung plans to make this complex a state-of-the-art digital complex, integrating various IT systems.

I'm personally disappointed, since I was hoping for Samsung to build a much higher skyscraper than a puny 43 stoires high building. However, Samsung's not to blame, since there is a government regulation that limits a building's height to 200 meters in the area.

I mean come on they are construcing world's super tallest whooping 700m in Dubai and not building sh*t in their own country.

Lee Kun Hee even denied the request from FKI(Federal Korean Industry) to become Chairman of that organization.

I like the complex. As for the height.. well, only a tiny portion of cities worldwide boast 200m tall buildings :D

Well... First of all you cannot build anything taller than 200m in Seocho. About the Burj Dubai, Samsung is not the investor. They are getting paid for building the skyscraper by investors, just like Samsung does to their workers.

Its EXPENSIVE to build a super tall. Samsung is GETTING PAID to build the Burj Dubai while if they had to build one THEY WOULD HAVE TO PAY. Its a matter of hundreds of millions of dollars. It would be nice to have a super tall buolt in Seoul but what service would it serve when the HQ they are building is good enough? Is it just to show off?

Teheran is a good area to build skyscrapers.

가량이고 삼성전자의 현금성 자산은 100억달러 미만을 유지하고 있습니다..

한마디로 엄청난 투자를 하고 있습니다..

"투자안하면 감방넣는다"라...뭐...그런 조잡한 야합을 했었을 라구요..-_-;;

그리고 일단 형식상으로는 정당하게 법으로 싸워서 이겼으니까 할말은 없습니다...
