If Mr. Man were banned it would say BANNED under his name on any of his posts, but it doesn't, so he's not banned.

Can someone explain the whole 'don't post rumours' rule? What is the point of it? Do the people in charge realize that some people can only post information they have by saying it's a rumour, in order to avoid getting in trouble?

I don't know but I'm tired of this kind of crap. It seems that he was banned for 2 weeks... For what? It's downright idiotic.

Nah, Mr. Man isn't banned or brigged. There was some incident from my understanding and now it's resolved.

Basically it's a rule saying to not post a vision or anything like that but rather a confirmed project. If you noticed, we'd have like 4-5 threads talking about a vision and not even a legit proposal with no article to accompany it or anything.

lol - Kaz...nice post up there. My little lock friend needs a reason to dance you know. :tongue3:

As Valantino pointed out, Mr. Man and his sources are very reliable. It seems to me that when ever he gives some info that the prediction usually happens.

I think it would be foolish to ban him when he is such a productive member.

Agree...I don't like that kinda policy either, it reminds me on east Europe
"rules and regulations"...frankly I think more tolerance is to be applied in
similar cases :bash:

Heh, I just thought this thread might end up like most of Mr. Man's threads recently.

Although he was an excellent poster, what I don't get is that... First there is a thread called 'Dubai to get it's second supertall' which refers to the Pinnacle... Mr. Man posts in that thread..

Then he makes another thread referring to the same tower!! and then he complains on how his threads are deleted.

But I do hope that he's not banned.

Again, he's not banned. Speaking of rumors, I don't know where this one started. From my understanding, he was brigged for a brief amount of time, he then was talked to by the administrator who did it and he's out free and normal now.

It's true, I'm back.

I was brigged which in my understanding is the same for being banned except for it being a temporary basis, two weeks in my case.

Anyway, It's good to be back!

Some notes: I'll post info to debunk the decree of the "rumoured" 40-storey and 45-storey etobicoke tower tomorrow as I'm currently on a library computer which can't upload. I've also been in contact with the city planner for the area and a manager at the Sapphire sales office. Due to negotations with the city, Sapphire will be undergoing some changes to justify the ~55x density with will also include some expansions. The manager was a lot less helpful but he did reiteration that this will be Canada's Tallest Residential Building, even after reminding him of Trump Toronto's height.

It's a pity my banning (briging) came at such a horrible time. But as I said previously, It's good to be back!

The nice thing about Mr. Man's rumours is that they tend to be accurate.

So Mr. Man, what was it like in the brig, anyway?

Well, thankfully, you're not the one responsible for ensuring that this site and its operators (like me) don't get sued when sensative information gets leaked, and the developer gets pissed. You also don't have to deal with the endless trolling when someone posts about a project which there is no way to verify if it's real or not.

All things have a purpose. Clearly the site exists to serve you folks, but we also have to watch our backs and keep the trolling minimized as well, else the site turns to crap.

(none of this refers to Mr Man, but to the issue of the "rumor" rule)

Outside of the Mr.Man thing, I think this forum runs smoothly and is well MOD.

What you need to clamp down on is copyright violations.
If you post from another source, the most important part is the copyright blurb!

Or slightly modify it, right 'Are Be'.
