View Full Version : I know it's winter...
friendlyneighboor January 28th, 2005, 05:24 AM Is there anyone who is willing to volunteer and brave the chilly weather and take pics of the many projects going on in the city.
So much with the Airport, ROM, Opera, Mars, RadioCity, 18Yorkville, 1 King, Cityplace Towers, ect, ect, ect....
Heck I'd volunteer if someone would lend me their trust and camera for everyone else to enjoy. I would love to see the pitts of Residence of College Park, Spire, Minto Towers near Eglinton, West One. It's time we get a MEGA up close and in depth coverage of what's really happening in our city!!
I hope this inspires someone to take the challenge.
Peter The Great January 28th, 2005, 05:40 AM I agree there should be more updates on the projects going up...especially in the Toronto forum...it's pretty chilly in here as well.
I'm sad to say that I don't have a camera either.
CrazyCanuck January 28th, 2005, 05:53 AM As soon as it warms up a bit (I mean like -1, or even -2)i'll take the digi camera out, it would be cool if people put together a list of buildings they'd like to see photographed and then put together a compilation to staisfy all.
schmidt January 28th, 2005, 06:05 AM Cmon it's just -14, you could go outside there right now! :D
But I'll wait for those pics :)
Confused Philosopher January 29th, 2005, 03:17 AM I think some pics would get people talking. So quiet in here.
Sorry, but i do not have a camera either.

Find me a reasonably priced digital camera that is functional in sub-zero temperatures and I would be happy to do an update. I'm not sure I count keeping the camera inside my coat as an option.
You are to blame January 29th, 2005, 07:43 PM ^ why don't they work in subzero temp.
friendlyneighboor January 29th, 2005, 09:54 PM Noone is asking for first rate photography here......Pictures to giev an update on the many projects going on all over the city.
There is too much to name. We'd have to place them into different sections. for example, Downtown, UofT, North York, Scarborough, ect...
rbt January 29th, 2005, 10:14 PM why don't they work in subzero temp.
Beats me. When I read about them they're always rated for operation between about 5 and 40 celcius.
DanfromTO January 29th, 2005, 10:43 PM the only update i wanna c is the residences of College Park
CrazyCanuck January 30th, 2005, 03:10 AM Can everyone wait about two weeks? I'll deliver. Everything, completed, U/C and everything else will have pics taken of the them. I've been meaning to take the camera out and take some photos, you won't be disappointed.
bizorky January 30th, 2005, 10:40 PM So digital cameras threaten to wipe out winter photography? How thoroughly un-Canadian!
Long live film!
