SteelCity32 December 22nd, 2002, 08:18 PM nice one, is this neo-gothic?
9/10
RafflesCity December 23rd, 2002, 06:48 AM 8.5/10
I love its roof and the facade is first class!
Jeff from Winnipeg December 24th, 2002, 06:42 AM I like it, but there is just something about it that makes me knock some points off :? Still quite nice though. ->7.5/10
TYW December 27th, 2002, 06:28 AM 8.5/10
i love it!!;)
Sunflower December 31st, 2002, 12:30 AM Looks good but there's nothing that makes it really stand out.
7.5/10
SeeMacau December 31st, 2002, 12:43 AM 8/10
I like this building
DrumCorpsAlum February 23rd, 2003, 05:44 AM A very cool design. 8.5/10.
renell February 27th, 2003, 12:17 PM i dont really like that spire on the top, and the building is quite wide in some angles, but it's not bad 6.5
Wu-Gambino February 28th, 2003, 03:19 AM I don't like the color or the facade. 6.5
CG5 March 4th, 2003, 01:19 AM My favorite in Atlanta. I was mesmerized by this building. I have to give it a 10, just because it's so beautiful...
Here are some of the pics I took of Promenade II:

Westin Peachtree March 5th, 2003, 02:14 AM Great pictures!!! Promenade is really a great building! I hope you enjoyed your trip to Atlanta!
bay_area March 6th, 2003, 09:08 PM I really like the color scheme and the terraced roof is cool too.
The Messiah March 10th, 2003, 08:50 PM The top is awsome, the colour scheme is also very nice. And the facade too!:D 8.5/10
James Saito March 11th, 2003, 04:19 AM Not my type. Looks like a Lego block.
Evergrey April 8th, 2003, 07:17 PM 7 The enormous step design make this building look shorter than it really is... and I would prefer a more consistant facade. Spire looks cheap. But it's an ok building.
angeladevi May 4th, 2003, 10:52 PM Nice building but it is too dark which makes the detailing allmost invisible. 7.5 though
CTroyMathis May 5th, 2003, 12:54 AM Details are certainly lost. Also, the building looks ridiculously and unproportionately fat thanks to the otherwise nice setbacks. It tapers off too soon at the apex.
Chad May 5th, 2003, 10:51 AM Partly gorgeous.....The original section view of the Jin Mao Tower..absolutely similar.....8.5/10
AtlanticaC5 August 12th, 2003, 09:27 PM 7,5/10
The spire doesn't fit the rest of the building in my opinion.
Vloepkleedje August 12th, 2003, 11:14 PM noo...I really want to vote a good mark today, but once again...no way this one gets a high mark. the color scheme is allrite..but I smell the architect's idea of making a interesting building that will appeal to most people. and it seems to be that I'm not part of ''most people''. 5.0
BGT August 13th, 2003, 12:58 AM 6/10
intervention August 13th, 2003, 06:10 AM The building itself is interesting, but a but short and stunted. The spire is a bit dodgy. 7.5
UrbanLandscape August 16th, 2003, 04:22 PM 5.5
De Snor August 18th, 2003, 09:28 PM good looking structure
Gustavo August 26th, 2003, 07:59 PM 6/10
Kaneda August 26th, 2003, 08:19 PM Looks better at nigth, then at day. 7/10
New Jack City August 27th, 2003, 07:40 PM 7/10...A little chubby, the facade looks good with a nice color, but there's something wrong with the way the setbacks look to form the top.
il fenomeno August 27th, 2003, 08:14 PM naa. too fat 5/10
Winus August 29th, 2003, 12:28 AM I'm glad I don't have to visit Atlanta very often. ;)
SUNNI August 29th, 2003, 12:05 PM looks great at night.
infact, Atlanta it self looks great at night..9/10
airsickpenthousedweller August 29th, 2003, 09:05 PM Over-the-top design, bordering on kitsch....
3/10
Patrick September 4th, 2003, 07:01 PM 7
woiuld be better if it would be taller or more thin, but the design is quite good
Monkey September 19th, 2003, 07:30 AM Boy, somebody surely got carried away here! A bit much of everything, I'd say. The pattern of the striping strikes me as somehow "wrong."
On the other hand, I constantly bitch about boring boxes!
So I'll give it a 7.
huaiwei September 19th, 2003, 01:37 PM Pretty one! 7/10! ;)
Javier October 11th, 2003, 01:36 AM 6/10
Fabio November 8th, 2003, 08:06 PM 9.5/10
Amazing.
alex3000 December 23rd, 2003, 07:51 AM 8/10
MCC December 28th, 2003, 06:53 AM 7/10 It looks a lot better at night.
james2390 January 25th, 2004, 07:00 AM This one rocks, I love how they did the facade and the top. The spire is awesome too, 10/10
DamienK August 22nd, 2004, 07:07 PM I think it's the worst of Atlanta's 200 m plus buildings. . .except for that boring BellSouth building. 6/10.
Liz L August 31st, 2004, 08:14 PM 8/10 - The set backs, horizontal and vertical, make the shape livlier; the glass facade looks like it can dance with the light, and there's good contrast between stone and glass. There's also some good detailing at the tops of the set backs, and the set backs flow nicely up to the spire - much more interesting than a flat roof.
BUT - it's chunky, the stone spandrels don't help the height, and maybe the pyramid could be a bit steeper...
All in all, though, not bad...
David3820 September 7th, 2004, 07:19 PM Wow, very lovely little skyscraper!! It's colour scheme and desighn rocks!!! 10/10
lokinyc September 7th, 2004, 07:27 PM I've always like this building. Too bad they never built the 70 story twin next door as originally planned. They would have complimented each other.
therock September 24th, 2004, 06:33 PM 7/10
empersouf October 1st, 2004, 08:39 PM Too fat, but nice facade. 8.5
GetOnDaTrain October 27th, 2004, 01:11 AM 9/10. I love the glass facade on the Promenade II. Reminds me of Texaco Heritage in Houston if it was 100% glass and take away the eagle perching on top.
Sitol447 November 1st, 2004, 10:01 AM 8.5/10 - Nice design!
Monkey November 14th, 2004, 01:36 AM Good facade and good setbacks, culminating in a spire that needs to be more prominent.
8/10 overall.
andysimo123 November 25th, 2004, 10:33 PM 7/10
7 World Trade December 23rd, 2004, 06:47 PM the setbacks and facade designs are quite good. but i think the architect went overboard with the building's width, so it doesn't really look like a 200m+ building. it would've definitely been an awesome building if it's more slender. also, they should've sticked with postmodern design elements all the way to the spire instead of throwing in a gothic look.
7.5
Chibcha2k January 2nd, 2005, 02:43 AM a bit fat...but blah..its nice 9/10
MattSal March 31st, 2005, 05:12 AM This one is almost perfect. Designed by God, if you will. I give it a 10/10. :applause:
superskyline April 9th, 2005, 02:27 AM I really like this design! The top is great!
8.5/10
Medo April 9th, 2005, 01:12 PM Very interesting tower. 8
Jasonhouse April 12th, 2005, 01:49 AM One of Atlanta's PoMo gems, and one of my personal favorites in the city. However, I'm not too fond of the above ground parking garage, or the way building's diagonal position to the grid makes the north plaza cold and windy. I would have personally juxtaposed the tower and garage, meaning that pedestrians could have better access to the MARTA station across the street. (I'm sure owners of the historic house next door would have raised hell at that option though) The poor access to 14th street for pedestrians is also confounding. I guess what I'm saying is that it's a great looking tower with shit siting.
7.5/10
Alfa April 15th, 2005, 06:44 PM It's a good try nothing more.
