Gejiu


or Kokiu (both: gô-j) (KEY) , town (1994 est. pop. 216,400), S Yunnan prov., China. Site of the country’s largest tin reserves, it is the great tin-mining center of China, with smelters and concentrating plants. Iron and coal are also found there, and chemicals are produced. The name sometimes appears as Ko-chiu.


Gejiu city （个旧市）skyline. It's a real small city in southwest Yunnan prvince, but quite nice looking

I'd give a skyline like this a 4.0 ordinarily, but considering how beautifully it bows around the shoreline...a 6.5...Lowrise, but is impressive in how solid it is, as well as attractive in color.

The last set of pictures are better looking. Beautiful city. Some how this city reminds me a little bit of a mediterranean little town.
