It's a pedestrian bridge .
You're right, it resembles the Athens Olympic stadium because is was also designed by Santiago Calatrava (http://www.calatrava.com/) . most of his designs have this same look \/

A second Calatrava bridge in Israel is planned for Jerusalem, it will be part of the first line of the Jerusalem light railway. \/

Calatrava didn't want to make a brigde for Istanbul :D he is much more understanding than anyone else. The bridge project was on the golden horn and he came to see the area and said "when Agia Sofia is on the left, and Süleymaniye of Sinan is on the right, I can't make a bridge here"...This word shows what a big artists he is. Both of you are lucky guys ...
