-I put this under projects and construction ecause last I read they were deconstructing the uranium facilities in Estonia

Does anyone know any websites on the Sillamae uranium minings in Estonia? I dont think they mine there anymore but I need to know how much uranium is left to mine there...

ee...."Õlletehas"...??? :D:D:D:D = "beer factory"

Indeed, uranium was mined in Estonia by Soviets and the uranium for their first nuclear bomb was also from Sillamäe region.
It isn't mined anymore, of course, because it's a) dangerous b)the uranium in Estonia has very low quality and it's hard to get.

well, tha main reason why its not mined today is because of its really low concentration in the soil.. in the future it will be very important for estonian economy... :)

Sillamäe Õlletehas (its a beer company???? A beer company that mines uranium hehe) was the company that minned the Uranium in Sillamäe. Since they dont mine uranium anymore they are trying to find other precious metals in Estonia.

So does anyone know how many kilos are left? :D

Why would Sillamäe Brewery mine uranium?

Õlletehas means when translated into english Beer factory. So Sillamäe Õlletehas is Sillamäe Beer factory or Brewery.

Kilos? the material is in thousands of tons for sure. It isnt economical at current time to mine it, since its easyer to obtain in other places, in estonia you have to extract it. It will hoever become important in the future, giving a extra buck or two to estonian economy.
