Almoust in the meadle of the Atlantic (1500 km from Lisbon and 3500 km from NY), Azores (Açores in Portuguese) is a groupe of 9 volcanic islands, the larger island have 747 km2 (S. Miguel) and the small 17 km2 (Corvo).

Yep, TAP flies there just like a few others (SATA, Finnair), and they provide cheap flights.

fuck I'm going there ! that is awesomely gorgeous ! have you got any info about somewhere unexpensive on the islands ? As soon as I save some money I'm flying away to that place. People won't believe me when I tell them I'm lounging on the beach in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean as very few knows there are islands called Azores in between Europe and America.

the climate is oceanic influnced by the gulf stream with 250/300 days of rain by year and average temperatures between 14º and 24º.
