66-storey building in Dubai Marina

DUBAI — Dubai Municipality has recently issued the licence to construct a 66-storey building in Dubai Marina at a cost of Dh240 million.

Khalid Mohammed Saleh, Head of the Building Licences Section at the Building and Housing Department of the municipality, said the proposed tower would house residential apartments and commercial shops.

The building will have four basements, ground floor and 66 upper storeys. The total built-up area will be more than 1.3 million square feet while the plot area is over 36,000 square feet. The tower would have 850 one-bedroom apartments and 232 two-bedroom apartments.

Khaleej Times. I dont know of any 66 storery tower under construction in Dubai Marina, do you?

they have just licenced it, this is what makes me a bit doubtful
remember when municipality issued the licence to build a 67 storey tower at szr?

but not sure, only 1- and 2-bed and over 1000 apartments speak for a new tower

Its over 15 apartments per floor! We can hope for something massive!

but mp also has 3-bed apartments

let's hope it will be built next to Marina Pinnacle or behind Al seef...we will gett the most amazing tower block.. When can we expect news on this one..?

ohh... well it's a pity...!
but perhaps they changed floor layouts in order to get more apartments, and marina pinnacle itself is massive, look at the construction pics from soennecken... huge!
or they forgot the 3 Bedrooms in the article, so it could be 850 one-bedroom apartments and 232 two-bedroom apartments + xxx three bedroom...
btw...850 one beds... ain't that too much..sounds unbelievable!
