Madeira is a groupe of small and moutainous islands (Madeira and Porto Santo) in the Atlantic, 950km from Lisbon and 400 km from Canarys islands, in the big island (Madeira) the cenary is mountainous and some times snow cover the mountains and the subtropical forests, in this island onli exist a small beach but all the south coast of the island of Porto Santo is a beach with 9 km long, warm waters and pine forests:

Beautiful. Is it true that most of Portugal is covered with forrests. I remember something I watched around the time of the huge forrest fires in Portugal a few years ago.

2/3 years ago great parth of the Portuguese Mainland forest desapear in fire except in the islands, Madeira have vasts humid rain forests.

A great part is only a few percent!!! That area will surely be reforested and our forest has been steadily growing throughout the years (mainly thanks to the forest industry). In mainland Portugal forests occupy roughly 40% of the territory.
