falconi, how is the devolopment since last year?

the development in izmir is perfect!
everywhere are construction works and the universiade 2005 pushed the infrastructure to new spheres! i had no problems with the traffic and people!

the metro project from ucyol to f.altay is going on and will be finished in 1,5years! the adnan menderes airport will be open in may 2006 (the construction works very fast)! the ring-highway tunnels are finished and the viaducts will reach ataturk_mah. (bornova) feb. 2006. from there the connection to the tunnel is finished! ...

and there are many restaurations in izmir. ...

i was wondering the same thing and had the information from the first hand, one of the head engineers of Yüksel Proje, who said that it is not a matter of how much of the line is underground etc but a matter of passeger capacity, hw many passengers a day use the line etc.
