View Full Version : Photos Copenhagen (left-overs)
cityskyscrapers February 13th, 2005, 04:01 PM All photos taken between 14-17 May 2004.
Other pictures of my Copenhagen trip were posted in spring 2004. Found quite a lot left-overs, especially street scenes.

DenverDane February 13th, 2005, 07:35 PM It's a good thing you didn't just leave these nice pictures in the drawer (or on your harddrive), cityscrapers. They are of high quality and deserve to be shown.
beutiful pics! I had no idea Copenhagen has double decker buses!
Yeah, the city invested in some double deckers for the busy lines around 10 years ago. Previously, the only double deckers in the city were used for tourists and originally came from London.
cphdude February 13th, 2005, 07:53 PM I...cant see them. Never happend before on this side...
Szabo February 13th, 2005, 10:19 PM bikes, bikes, bikes and yellow busses. I love Copenhagen

_tictac_ February 15th, 2005, 03:08 AM As always, you get the job done with class and outstanding quality, capturing the best from Copenhagen.
Well done cityskyscrapers, I'm impressed! ;)
Monkey February 15th, 2005, 03:44 AM Thank you so much for sharing your leftovers with us, cityscrapers! :) That was quite a treat! :okay:
Copenhagen is simply lovely, and these haphazard shots, some of grand buildings like the Bourse and some ordinary street scenes, show it off beautifully. :applause:
Hviid February 15th, 2005, 04:19 PM beutiful pics! I had no idea Copenhagen has double decker buses!

designwise February 15th, 2005, 04:38 PM Those yellow double decker sightseeing buses operate in Helsinki, Stockhol, Copenhagen & Oslo. They have Dutch register plates.
NorthStar77 February 15th, 2005, 05:43 PM We don't have any double decker buses here, exept for tourists, and they look like the one in the first photo.
mlm February 15th, 2005, 06:07 PM We don't have any double decker buses here, exept for tourists, and they look like the one in the first photo.
I also think that was what DW meant (the yellow one behind the red one in the first photo). Because the yellow one in the 2nd photo is surely a "normal" cph bus:)
NorthStar77 February 15th, 2005, 07:41 PM Ahh, ok, sorry for misunderstanding DW :)
tournesol February 16th, 2005, 10:03 AM They have Dutch register plates.
Maybe in HKI, but not here. That's normal danish commercial plates
Anyway, thank's for a beautiful phototour Cityskyscraper. It makes me look forward to spring even more than I allready do...
LoveCPH February 16th, 2005, 07:39 PM Actually I was in Copenhagen the 15th May.
Why didn't you take some photos of the decorations after the weding? I did.
I remember that there have been extended bussen, which was longer.
cityskyscrapers February 16th, 2005, 08:23 PM Thank you all for the nice comments about these pics.
Why didn't you take some photos of the decorations after the weding?
Well, I didn't know about this wedding. I want to take pictures of city centres like it would be normally. So without any decorations. That's why I don't have pictures of several CPH squares and streets, because of the decorations, tents and television facilitities for the wedding festivities. So this is the only wedding picture I made:

LoveCPH February 25th, 2005, 07:01 PM You didn't knew that there was a royal wedding? How could you miss that?
Anyway it's okay, I understand you.

I can imagine you are waiting for spring, along with tournesol & soo many others! :)
LoveCPH February 27th, 2005, 04:31 PM If I was a city planner in 1850, Copenhagen would look much better now
Hviid February 27th, 2005, 04:33 PM /\ i dont know if im the only one but i am REALLY getting tired of winter .. especially the coldness and all the snow .. I want the warm weather!!! :soapbox:
Swede February 27th, 2005, 07:06 PM ^can't argue with that. This latest snowstorm is really annoying. 'twas looking like spring was on its way. some flowers were coming up, then Pow! -5C (mid-day highs) and 5-10cm of snow.
Spring is still a few weeks away :(
Hviid February 27th, 2005, 09:05 PM If I was a city planner in 1850, Copenhagen would look much better now
How so??
Ding dind.
Måske er jeg ung, men ikke dum

ok ... i mean, if you were a city planner back in the 1850's .. what would you have done to make Copenhagen look better then it does now?
ahsm March 6th, 2005, 05:51 PM Wow, great pictures of Copenhagen!

Try and speak english ... this is btw an english forum
And with what you said ... I dont think you could have done anything different .. back in the 1800's they didnt have the technology to make every single thing perfectly straight and perfect in size ..

This is not a scandinavian forum only ... its also a Baltic forum .. and they dont understand danish ... and im sure most Finns dont understand danish either. We also have a lot of other people (americans, canadians, etc) comming and reading/participating in this forum ... Thats why it would be a lot easier for all of us if you just spoke english. There are tons of danish forums you can go to if you dont feel like speaking english, but here you should respect the fact that it is an english-speaking forum.
Og hvilken teknologi snakker du om?
I dont know too much about how people build or construct these days but i know for a fact that back in the 1800s they didnt have cranes, they probably didnt have a lot of the known tools that we have today, hmm ... I cant really give you anymore examples because i dont know them ... maybe someone else here does?
Vespa March 13th, 2005, 05:12 PM Really cool pics of Copenhagen. Damn i miss summer even more now!
cphdude March 13th, 2005, 06:42 PM Really cool pics of Copenhagen. Damn i miss summer even more now!
it cant be far off now....a few months and we'll see the first summer weekend...
amoCPH! March 13th, 2005, 08:19 PM wooow beautiful pics...i wanna go back right NOW

The amount of time you have been here doesnt mean anything. I have participated in this forum twice as much in the last 2 months then you have in the last 3 years. So what does that tell you? And like i said before, it isnt only Scandinavian people who visit and read this forum. Its also people from other countries.
Try and read what you just wrote: "Sjovt nok snakker man Tysk i det tyske forum" Of course they speak German in a German forum ... just like Danes speak Danish in a Danish forum. But this isnt a Danish forum. its a Scandinavian and Baltic forum. Where people speak OTHER languages!
Oh well, i dont need to waste my time arguing with a kid. Im just trying to do the rest of the people here a favour by asking you to speak english.
tournesol March 14th, 2005, 12:43 PM ^^^ Agreed.
Please stick to english loveCPH, so everyone can take part in the discussion!
LoveCPH March 14th, 2005, 07:45 PM Whatever.
ch1le March 14th, 2005, 08:18 PM /\ sheeesh some people can be annoying
Oberleutnant March 14th, 2005, 09:02 PM Tror du de forstår dansk i Finland eller Island? NEJ!
However, while this forum is about S&B, the preferred language is English. It's not Danish forum, as DLL said.
Okay det vidste jeg ikke :)
I dont know if Im the only dane, but whenever I hear a swede speak swedish, i have a VERY hard time understand what he/she is saying .. Norwegian isnt that tuff for me to understand at all, but Swedish is .. i understand maybe 30% of what is said ... :) i guess thats because my own danish is pretty bad.
