The proper way to quote news stories

I have deleted the News Update thread because one of the content sources rightfully pointed out that it is not legal to copy the whole content from one website to another. The correct way to quote news messages onto the forums is copy the title and the first paragraph or a summary, and link to the source page where you got it from. Thanks for your cooperation.
