Sorry for the googled images that are fuzzy-looking. They don't allow pictures being taken inside. 4th one is taken by ItsConanOBrien of ArchBoston who was able to sneak a few shots. South Station has a nice mix of old and new. The 1st pic shows South Station from the back with the silvery color. That part of the building shows departure time and such on digital billboards. 2nd pic shows it from the front. http://www.jaycashman.com/fp/fp_pictures/mbta_ssrp_small.jpg http://www6.airnet.ne.jp/tochio/travel_w/usa/amtrak/001.jpg http://www.prellwitzchilinski.com/PORTFOLIO/RETAIL/SouthStation1.jpg http://www.taoyue.com/photo/bos-sea/p02-south-station-waiting.jpg http://img13.exs.cx/img13/491/southstation1am.jpg http://images.nycsubway.org//i33000/img_33589.jpg http://www.trainweb.org/amtrakpix/stationphotos/BOS/165-37.jpg http://www.fotofinity.com/files/users/997739520ychang/1017035250ychangFAYFNG/sm/sm_b4616edd2edd8d7a603d42638661669e.jpg http://www.whiteoaks.com/dec04/day09/320/DSCN4410.JPG http://www.aecinfo.com/1/resourcefile/02/00/51/thumbnails/univ04c.jpg http://www.prellwitzchilinski.com/PORTFOLIO/RETAIL/SouthStation2.jpg This is pic shows the location of the Planet Jupiter. It was built by a german architect ;) Btw you're right with the silo.Next to the station there is a port, that's why there is a silo. But within 3-5 years the whole district will be renovated and the port will be moved to a suburb. They also want to make a hotel out of this amazing station and build a new central station for high-speed trains on the europan continent since both sides will be connected with a underwater railway tube. That will be the new station on the european continent http://www.turkinfra.com/assets/images/yenikapi1.jpg http://www.turkinfra.com/assets/images/yenikapi3.jpg Grollo April 20th, 2005, 02:41 PM Flinders Street Station, MElbourne: http://seven.shackspace.com/framed/flinders_street_dusk.jpg Spencer Street Station, Melbourne (U/C): http://www.spencerstreetstation.com.au/images/gallery/fullsize/imageN3322567200.jpg http://www.spencerstreetstation.com.au/images/gallery/fullsize/imageN3322565944.jpg http://www.spencerstreetstation.com.au/images/gallery/fullsize/imageN3322567362.jpg http://www.spencerstreetstation.com.au/images/gallery/fullsize/imageN3274856592.jpg Vertigo May 9th, 2005, 08:46 PM Amsterdam Central Station: http://www.cs.jhu.edu/~aahuja/pics/amsterdam%20centraal%20station.jpg http://stationworld.at.infoseek.co.jp/amsterdamcentraal1.jpg nazrey May 10th, 2005, 12:10 AM Putajaya KLIA transit station (Putrajaya western transport terminal) http://www.veritas.com.my/port_varc_transp/trans_141wwt_big.gif http://www.veritas.com.my/port_varc_transp/trans_142wwt_big.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/aerial.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/foyer.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/concou-1.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/Putrajaya/9797DSCN5084.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/Putrajaya/Putrajaya12.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/Putrajaya/Putrajaya6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/Putrajaya/Putrajaya15.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/nazrey/Putrajaya/DSCN4654.jpg http://skyscraperpage.com/gallery/data/500/5107putrajaya2.jpg http://skyscraperpage.com/gallery/data/500/5107putrajaya3.jpg http://skyscraperpage.com/gallery/data/500/5107putrajaya6.jpg http://skyscraperpage.com/gallery/data/500/5107putrajaya5.jpg nazrey May 10th, 2005, 12:20 AM Renovation Ipoh station - Malaysia http://img239.exs.cx/img239/5805/vslide10dr.jpg http://img239.exs.cx/img239/2046/vslide184nj.jpg http://img230.exs.cx/img230/3439/ipoh62sw.jpg http://img230.exs.cx/img230/2752/ipoh0fa.jpg http://img230.exs.cx/img230/1046/ipohplatform3ib.jpg http://img224.exs.cx/img224/6310/platform713fh.jpg Phobos May 10th, 2005, 12:40 AM Oriente Station (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=83551) in Lisbon,by Santiago Calatrava. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v119/rael_portugal/Lisbon_Streets_and_Buildings/Modern_buildings/Gare_do_Oriente.jpg http://img39.photobucket.com/albums/v119/rael_portugal/Stations/Oriente_station.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v119/rael_portugal/Lisbon_Streets_and_Buildings/Modern_buildings/18454060.jpg M.Poirot May 10th, 2005, 04:17 AM Here's Tokyo Station, Japan. However, the underground station was rennovated to improove for Amtrak, LIRR, and NJ Transit as well as a hub for the subway with the 1, 2, 3, A, C, and E trains. An underground concourse was added, and I have to say that it has more places than the nearby Manhattan Mall that I have been going to for a while. A monument to the close Turkish-German relations of the time, the station is in neo-renaissance style and has a U-plan. The inauguration ceremony took place on 19 August 1908, just after the proclamation of the Second Constitution. The façade is revested in textured sandstone, and the main façade overlooking Kadikoy Bay rests on a foundation of 1100 timber piles. The steep pitched roof is slated, and the interior is decorated with trailing foliage cartouches and garlands, and stained glass window. The ceiling of the circular room at the base of the southeast tower has ribbed vaults, and the upper landings have groin vaults. Flights of marble steps lead up from the quay to the monumental façade flanked by circular turrets with conical roofs, clock tower rising in the form of a crest at the centre, baroque decoration, balconies, moulded cornices, and pilasters. http://wowturkey.com/tr01/balon100_1298.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr33/okhan_de_lan_P1010338.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr11/memocan_haydarpasagunbatimi.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr21/kemal_bereket_haydarpasa2.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr01/haydarpasa5810.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr29/Faruk_haydar125.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr01/haydarpasa2276.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr01/haydarpasa2277.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr01/haydarpasa2274.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr01/haydarpasa2278.jpg http://wowturkey.com/tr01/haydarpasa2285.jpg Küsel September 7th, 2005, 12:38 PM Stadelhofen Station by Santiago Calatrava (his blueprint of what should follow): http://www.vitruvio.ch/galleryfriends/bignardi/foto/ab_stadelhofen_03.jpg http://www.arquitectura.com/arquitectura/inter/perfiles/calatrava/bb.jpg http://archives.arte-tv.com/Common%20images/Photos%20ARTE/10/27210.jpg http://www.bbm-kreuzlingen.ch/ingenieur/ingenieure/calatrava2.jpg cOcO_cHaneL September 7th, 2005, 01:00 PM dunno if you could consider this a subway station as we dont have a subway in perth but this is subiaco its underground just sort of open air underground http://wastations.i8.com/Fremantle/subiaco/Subiaco%2016sept2002.jpg http://2.srv.fotopages.com/2/526437/Subiaco-Train-Station.jpg il get some more pics soon. aaHhh.. suBi!!! love that place dude!! bdw amsterdam train station looks damn fine~~~~ ;):):) Arpels September 7th, 2005, 01:03 PM Stadelhofen Station by Santiago Calatrava (his blueprint of what should follow): http://www.vitruvio.ch/galleryfriends/bignardi/foto/ab_stadelhofen_03.jpg http://www.arquitectura.com/arquitectura/inter/perfiles/calatrava/bb.jpg http://archives.arte-tv.com/Common%20images/Photos%20ARTE/10/27210.jpg http://www.bbm-kreuzlingen.ch/ingenieur/ingenieure/calatrava2.jpg do you have a general viue of thys station?
