Damn you beat me to it, I got the same pics last week but havent had a chance to post them yet. Looks like a nice one and will bring that side of the city up to date a bit which is what it needs.

This was given final approval on Friday... starts in June and will be built by Leightons.

Will have a winter garden on each floor, and car parking for 200-300 cars underneath.

Will also have 250 bicycle parking places. can't get any greener than that.

That building looks so cool, better than the conventional legoland buildings more inside the city. What other buildings are being made in that area apart from he metropolitan?

If you can see where The Metropolitan is under construction (White Hammerhead to the left of The Lakeside), if you keep heading left you will run into another white building (School of Music), 18Marcus Clarke St is between Metropolitan and 18 MC.

I'm really liking the cladding on this one, it's about as reflective as glass has gotten in Canberra so far :wink2:.

The curved glass will look great from the west of the city, i went up Telstra tower last night, and it's quite imposing on the skyline.

I count 11 storeys, so one more to go.

Thanks for the updates. Now that most of the buildings on Marcus Clarke are nearing completion, is there any word on whether the ACT government will release the land on the inside on London circuit?

Just been through all the projects in Canberra. Looking good. If they cant have height, then class & glass is just as good.
Hope they will release land in London Circut soon, its a huge let down.
