Consolidated Builders and Capital Property Group have announced that they will jointly build and own a major new commercial office building in Civic. Located on Section 52 Binara Street, Civic’s newest building will include 14 floors of the most modern and environmentally sensitive office space in Canberra.
The Commonwealth Department of Industry Tourism and Resources has signed a pre-committment agreement to lease back the accommodation for 15 years.
Designed to accommodate around 1500 people and three levels of parking for 260 cars, it will also feature an 80-place childcare facility and high quality
landscaping.

Floors are up to level 10, another 4 to go. From the side, it looks bloody huge! It's almost 100 metres long on one side but only 30 or so metres on the other.

How many metres is this building, looks like it has a huge amount of floor space and floor height seems tall for floor height.

This building now has quite a bit of glass on the lower floors..
It's now also taller than the crane!.. will take some snaps shortly.

The cladding looks pretty good, a milky green glass, i've driven through there a few times and thought, i should bring my camera down too. I dunno what they were thinking when they did the original render, but it looked rather pink to me...

I agree, who keeps designing this Leogland crap? Canberra deserves better.

I actually like the dark green cladding on the top part but the rest does look like typical canberra cladding which is all a bit boring. Actually, that dark green cladding is what they should have used on Q1.

The better stuff will come in time I'm pretty sure, all cities seem to have this bland generic building type. Its about as interesting to look at as a pile of mortar but still important helping to fill the gaps between the better stuff to come (hopefully).

Canberra Is way too conservative with those buildings, But soem of those building in the west like 18 marcus clarck street looks pretty good, moving towards the future with design. The building is Okay but they could have had a better design than that legoland crap.

Foulness. It does look like legoland.
What an ugly addition to the city. I hate this new stylistic need to add little random areas to each building ... those small squared out area are trying too hard. Those two little wings have got to go as well. Overall vulgar. Hmm and no reflectivity to hide some of its ugliness.
Sorry not trying to be mean but it is ugly.

This is one cool glassy building, reminds me of scarbourough house as well actually, did the same people who did this one, also oversee the reconstruction of Scarbourough house.
