Man plunges to his death from office block

A man has fallen to his death in front of dozens of workers in the atrium of a Melbourne office building.

The middle-aged man dropped from an internal balcony on the 14th floor of 530 Collins Street at 5pm (AEDT).

Ambulance officers attended but the man died at the scene.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the man's death are being investigated.

omfg tragic!!!! how high is this buildign in general?? got a pic? how did he fall when most atriumised buildings are jump-free? too many qs!!!!!!!

It's 38 levels in the tower, but the atrium part is about 15 or so (opposite Rialto).

dilaz-fell from 14 office levels/ about 60m. most internal atrium bldgs are just hand rails. easy jump over.
