Here is a look at how Hong Kong has changed over the past few years. Notice these were only taken in 1998, which wasn't that long ago :
From the Peak
Bank of China and Central Plaza dominate the skyline. The Centre was just completed while the Cheung Kong Center was still rising.

The Wan Chai skyline hasn't changed much over the years compared to Central. When this photo was taken, the Convention Centre extension was just over a year old.

The Central skyline was much different back in 1998. 2 IFC is noticeably absent while the Cheung Kong Center was only under construction.
