Since it's my hometown, i really love Bangkok. Its skyline isn't that great, but it does really have a massive skyline. There are all skyscrapers all around the city. and many of them have some nice design, IMO.

Bangkok has a huge skylines

Judging from the pics, Bangkok is awfully huge and diverse metro like Tokyo and Seoul.
The skyline in Bangkok is never similar to any city in the world.

Bangkok's another of those great Asian cities that
I LOVED visiting. It was far more built up and
modern than I ever imagined. I give it an 8.5/10.
The skyline is too spread out to be a 10.
I wish all those buildings were gathered together
into one major downtown.

If Baiyoke II was in the pics, it would be much nicer!

if this is a rate our highways, i'd give bangkok 10/10.

the city is beautiful. everybody (that includes me) loves it. some scrapers don't look that special but the skyline is ok and spectacular at night. 9/10 <---should be 8.75 but there's no such thing so i rounded it off

Haven't been to Bangkok for a very long time. These pictures are amazing. The buildings are not that striking, but, the skyline surely is massive and buildings sprouting all over the place. The highways is cool too, but, I can see some parts are kindda messy. But, great city, i give 8.5/10

I give 10 , its more amazing at place, if you go the highway from the airport to downtown you will really get stunned , and I gave 10 also because in the next1-3 years Bangkok will be filled with even more tall cool!! design buildings, visit the Thai forum to check out the new skyscrapers of Bangkok under construction..

The skyline has an overall "scattered" feel to it, probably because the city is so big. However, some of the buildings are very impressive - would be nice if they were more concentrated.

Bangkok should be 2 rank higher as the city is currently ranked 6th most high skyscrapers city in the world.

Look at the new skyscrapers that are coming up in Bangkok, there are totally 145 highrises comming up within 0-3 years from now (that is by the way very impressive)
The skyline of Bangkok in next 3 years will make Bangkok be in the top of the best skylines of the world, melbourne skyline?? hmm its not impressive, looks quite boring, like a small american city, boxy and boring is my word and we have tons more highrises than melbourne so its not in the same league.

Fantastic! The only thing BKK needs are some hills. It would be so cool to get that city view from a distance--like in Hong Kong, Caracas. I think the view out the window of the skytrain kind of makes up for that geographic disadvantage though. It's just too bad that they have to cover up the skytrain windows with all those annoying adds.

From The street level Bangkok is looking a lot better too. I can't wait till they submerge all those unsighly electrical wiring, and all those new buildings come online.

BangKok is really big, so spread out.. if the skyline is spread out and gets more dense, it has potential to be NY of south east asia, now it looks kinda like sanfrancisco..

WOW! I knew that Bangkok was a really nice city, but those pictures of it make it's skyline look extremely good! :) I think that it has great potential, and is excellent for now. I would rate it 15th best skyline in the world! :)

I was in Bangkok last week and was amazed at the amount of unfinnished towers , some 50f. Its also the most spralling skyscraper city in SE Asia

Bangkok is one of the greatest cities in the world! I love the buildings...I only wish they were a bit more concentrated. When they're all spread out like that, it gives the feel of a humongous city ....which can be rather daunting. I give it an 8.5

10/10- i've seen many pictures of bangkok and i love it. take away the monarchy, add mountains and a million more habitants and you get bogota.

Bangkok's skyline 7.5/10

Many of the buildings look lower than they are because they are so large and bulky (eg. state "tower" may look fat, but sill 250m). Also the towers are too similar in height, thus "killing" each other. 7/10

I do love the Baiyoke Tower II, though :cheers1:

For me I give 8 for my lovely Bkk. Just like many people said Bkk need more glassy and
colorful buildings. They will make Bkk skyline look more beautiful.

Based on the photos, Bankok does have a lot of buildings with interesting architechture. However, if we scale the scrapers according to density, 1 being the most scattered and 10 being the densest, I would give it 7. Overall however, I would give this city 8.
