oiya....kalo yang bulat dan panjangnya cuma 1 meter & diamameter 1 m juga....yg ada ditengah itu adalah sumur resapan...biasanya disusun 3-4 susun kebawah....jadi semua air hujan harus lewat sumur resapan dulu baru bisa keluar ke saluran kota....sumur resapan itu di isi ijuk dan batu koral 3-4cm sampe penuh....

^^noz, yg kayak sticker di kolom hitam itu namanya apa sih?? itu buat ngelindungin materialnya ya??
anw liat baik2 di truk merah di kiri deh.. mas2nya lagi ngapain yah?? ada2 aja.. :D

^^ itu bukannya emang sticker luarnya ? itu bahan komposit cladding yang kaya dipake GI kan ? awalnya juga ada stickernya, trus ntar di lepasin. Bener ga noz ? :D

iya itu stiker anti goresnya biar ga cacat aja....sekalian buat naro mereknya....dari aluminium komposit itu....
aluminium komposit itu ukurannya 2.44x1.22m....biasanya di bentuk dilapangan biar lebih pas aja sama sikon....tapi kalo ya udh presisi biasanya udh dari pabriknya...kayak yg di Manhattan....itu mereknya Alucopan Mitsubishi asli dari jepang....di sini tinggal pasang aja....

but theres no sign or advertising that lower area will to be mall *in fact the tower has finish construction...
its very risk competition if they want made another mall at that area....

probably that "mall" just for marketing gimmick only...actually its call commercial area...
example = strategic sampoerna at lower ground area = they have "mini mall" *restaurant, alfa mart, pharmacy, money changer, laundry, cafe, lunge etc...
also gedung bimantara they have 2 - 3 floors commercial area...
Menara BNI 46 also they have 2 - 3 floors commercial area...

but if UOB want really want mall inside that building = just "wow another mall at that area"

maaf, ya, mau koreksi. Pedestrian tuh artinya pejalan kaki (orangnya). Jadi tidak tepat dan betul kalau ada yang nulis 'bangun pedestrian' atau memasang atap di pedestrian'. Mungkin forumer mau mulai mengganti istilah yang salah kaprah ini menjadi istilah yang lebih indonesia seperti : trotoar (kata serapan resmi), jalur pejalan kaki. Kalau mau pakai bahasa Inggrisnya: walkway(UK); sideway(US)

Engineering firm reaches new heights

Work to create an Indonesian skyscraper twice the height of Auckland's Sky Tower has been won by Auckland consultancy Beca.

A spokesperson said the business had won the contract to provide the mechanical and electrical engineering design for Jakarta's Signature Tower, the tallest building planned in the Southern Hemisphere.

It will be the fifth-tallest building in the world, standing 638m, with a 10-level retail podium, three office zones, a six-star hotel and a viewing observatory at the 111th level.

"Challenges include engineering a complex network of over 100 lifts, two of which shuttle vertically over half a kilometre from the ground floor to the observatory," said the Beca spokesperson.

Construction will start in the middle of the year and will not finish until 2017.

Beca engineers in Auckland and Jakarta will provide fire and life safety design and mechanical and electrical engineering on the tower and consultancy on the lift job.

The firm is working on 22 high-rise towers in Indonesia, including Ciputra World, the Wisma Mulia office and the Sequis Centre.

All the blocks are more than 40 storeys high. Beca is also working on the 67-level Thamrin Nine mixed-use complex.

The world's tallest building is the Burj Khalifa, Dubai, at 828m.

Simon Longuet-Higgins, a New Zealand-born mechanical engineer, is leading the team from Beca on the Signature Tower.

He speaks Indonesian, is based in Auckland and has worked on projects in Indonesia since 1984.

He has worked on the Macau Tower in China, Conrad Resort & Spa in Bali, Pacific Place in Jakarta and the SkyCity conference centre and Grand Hotel in Auckland.
