I think Coral Gables' skyline looks better. Coral Gables' skyline is denser and has way better architecture.

View Full Version : Skyline: Downtown/Brickell or Coral Gables? daniel_18 February 25th, 2005, 07:16 AM I think Coral Gables' skyline looks better. Coral Gables' skyline is denser and has way better architecture. Roark February 25th, 2005, 07:37 AM Brickell looks fantastic from boat or from the Rickenbaker. Downtown looks great from an airplane, the water, I-95, the Metrorail, the MetroMover or from any building....sadly, I've only seen the Coral Gables skyline from traffic jams so I really don't know all the candidates very well :) streetscapeer February 25th, 2005, 09:37 AM Coral Gables looks great from the Metrorail:) But I gotta go with Downtown/ Brickell BHK25 February 26th, 2005, 01:09 AM downtown/Brickell south florida dave February 26th, 2005, 01:49 AM this is a tough one. so i'll be a p*ssy & say i like them both equally, but for different reasons. how's that for indecision? nimbyhater February 26th, 2005, 07:23 AM coral gables has a nice, dense skyline, with so really nice architecture... but there is no way in hell u can ever compare it to downtown/brickell dave8721 February 26th, 2005, 09:19 AM One thing Coral Gables does have over Brickell/Downtown is ornamental features of the buildings. Who would have thought you could actually put a spire on a building? You don't see many white rectangular boxes in coral gables, the laws don't allow them. jzquince69 February 26th, 2005, 05:24 PM I agree with Dave. But I personally prefer the taller buildings. You don't get much of that in Orlando. Brickell's got my vote- until two more years when the PAC and buildings around it are topped off Pablo63090 February 26th, 2005, 07:20 PM Definately Downtown. It looks great from any angle. Brickell and Coral Gables come in an close 2nd and 3rd.
