I can remember the one of Zagreb being quite fancy. The funny thing is however, in Western Europe you'll never find a proper bus station.

BTW it is in the works for the bus station in Belgrade to be relocated to Novi Beograd where they are planning to construct a very large one.

Western European central bus stations are relative small in comparison to EE stations because there are trains for long distance traveling instead of busses.

Here's one in Lisbon, can't show you the central station because the old one just been demolished and the new will only start being built soon!! But like Steven said we've got A LOT more train stations that bus/coach ones!!

Zagreb, Croatia has briliant Bus station - very nice it looks like an airport terminal with 44 Bus gates and it is quite modern, look on there site to get more info, Buses actuly park underneth the platforms so you are warm while watting for your bus, and can board bus when it arrvies at the platform, it is way cool, you must ce it to belive it, havent seen such concepts anywhere in Europe at all more like an airport. London you have so freeze your b**s while wating for bus station (coach) is very open and ugly, dont know for other places, but if it counts I nominate London as ugliest coach station, lol :) :) :)

The Montreal bus station sucks...it's kinda like the one in Belgrade. T.O sucks big timeas well (got to give them credit for the fact that the halls smell like bleach tough...)

Damn, right on it's horrible in what state the bus station's in here. At least we have a grand train station to make up for that.:D

Doesn't help that it's located in the ugliest part of downtown. But yes, it's hideous. Bus stations are rarely nice, though.

That part of downtown really isn't ugly (I'd leave east of Yonge for that) it just happens to lack development incentive. Maybe do what NYC did, make a skyscraper multi-leveled bus station, but I doubt Toronto has that high of traffic to initiate it.

Well, the simple reality is that bus stations rarely need to be grand because traveling by bus is rarely grand in itself. Nobody expects to pull into a nice station when going by bus (I know I don't). The expectations with the train are much different.

Toronto for a city of its size not only has a mediocre bus station, but it's just plain fugly fugly fugly. I might be crazy but I'd take Belgrade's over it.:eek:

oh..yeah.. just wait for a little while till it's been used for a long enough time and then you may give your opinion about how good job it is :) Otherwise now it's perfect i like it pretty much.

My hometown's bus station isn't worth mentioning. Ljubljana's is just a parking lot in front of the Railway Station. Wait till the PCL is built. Then it'll be something, part of the new railway station..
