Indeed those are nice towers..but we should be carefull what we build in our towns...bad projects..are not to be allowed...they might ruin the city prestigios name.......next year I'll visit Paris..:)..hope it'll look nice...

^^ Govani kun Paris is actually the second european city with the most high-rises over 90m after Moscow. 113 high rises over 90m, a lot of them are ugly and Paris is always for the majority tourst the most beautiful city in the world.

I love the style of this architecture, it's simple somewhat, but stunning.

I love the buildings and such but damn I wish that plaza had some more color/life to it. I never seem to see any banners or flowers on it. Just seems so barren.

Not yet, still some works left to have the building topped out, I guess it'll be a metalic structure up there.

^^ Yep, T1 should be 20 to 25m higher than it is now when they will install its metallic "crown"! :)

So T1 is now 160m high more/less, nice :)

T1 is great, but granite isn't my cup of tea - don't like the cladding at all. havinf said that ... T1's cladding isn't special either, but the shape of the building is pretty cool.

Even with the top, I'm not sure that T1 will really look like a 180m tower, it's a 160m one with a bonus.

If you look just from the other side, Granite hides SG, they're very close each other.

Such a shame the cladding is so poor! the massing was quite interesting :)

After checking on the architect plans, I discovered the height of T1 Tower is in fact 187,5 meters (615 ft) and not 185 meters. 185 meters is the height from the concrete slab, whereas 187,5 meters is the actual height from street level. Someone should correct the title of the thread. Also, T1 Tower has 39 floors in total.

You are right, the right is much more dense than the left, a bit too much in my opinion, and most of the new proposed/aproved towers are on the right as well :(.

Hopefully, if the two PB22 towers get built it'll even out a bit.

It is not the same municpality, at the right Courbevoie and at the left Puteaux.
I can say without doubt that Courbevoie is more pro skyscraper than Puteaux. :)

Even +300m projects are in Courbevoie, c'est dommage!

Sadly neither of these have turned out as good as the renders, they are just so... dark in comparison with what was promised. Dark isn't always bad, but that lovely light cladding we saw in the renders would have looked much beter on the La Defense skyline imo.

Yeah , T1's crown is a big disappointment for everybody , even for those who live in paris .
However , we have to wait few months until the tower would be entirely completed to judge . For example , they are now removing cladding protection and its a lot better .

And Granite is simply superb.

T1's top is a big deception.The overall shape is quite good and elegant,but that top is too naked.

Should be nice seeing the effect this has on the cluster when viewed from the Eiffel Tower when I go to Paris next month. I expect the curve gives La Defense more of an edge lol:)

Well, unfortunately you won't see much from the Eiffel Tower; T1 is pretty much hidden by Total and/or Areva from up there. But you certainly will enjoy the curve from the Arc de Triomphe.

Oh yes, hope I get to see the Arc again. I'm going with a group from school though, so I won't get to choose where we go. I hope it's been snowing, I'm actually going in December. Snowy Paris with all the Christmas lights would be fantastic!

This one has become really cool!

I think I'd prefer it without this empty crown. I know, I know... almost everyone complains about the crown, so my aim is not to make it any worse here. Just wanted to say that to me the problem is not the fact that the crown is empty. The tower looks weird probably because the colour and steal structure at the top don't suit the rest of the building. The top hardly looks like an integral part of it. Well, its form does, but not the material and colour of it.

I think we should wait until it is completed to judge it. I expect it will look better then.

It's quite a curious thing that LD is plenty of platforms between skyscrapers making a modern urban image from streetlevel :)

T1 is big Thumb too.

The top of Tour T1 is a big disappointment :ohno:

What's the name of the white tower near T1?

Granite is nearly done now and it is beautiful. T1 is a bit disappointing but Granite is great and fits perfectly behind the SG Twin Towers.

The white tower near T1 is Tour Egée (155m - 509ft - 40 floors)

I stayed @ the CNIT Hilton last x'mas and I LOVED La Defense. It's really a beautiful example of a modern downtown that completely pedestrian friendly.

However I'm glad I wasn't driving, coz I was peaking @ the roads below from one of the bridges and it looked confusing as hell! :-D

Very nice ones! I don't mind if people think it is or is not the best skyline in Europe. At least it is the most elegant one, perhaps along with London! :applause:
