The development will include water-front luxury residences, entertainment facilities, a Beach Club, and retail outlets. When completed, the development will offer 54 town houses, 50 furnished apartments, 100 unfurnished apartments, and penthouse suites.

Turner's scope of work also includes managing the construction of the complex's infrastructure system, below grade parking, landscaping, public, private and service access ways, lighting, signage and graphics.

افتتاح «انتركونتننتال أبوظبي» بداية 2007


قال عبدالله خلفان بن مطر الرميثي العضو المنتدب في المؤسسة الوطنية للسياحة والفنادق ان المؤسسة بصدد الإعلان عن مشاريع فندقية وسياحية جديدة العام المقبل.

ولم يكشف في تصريحات له على هامش المشاركة في معرض السفر العالمي في لندن عن طبيعة هذه المشاريع، لكنه أشار إلى أن فندق انتركونتننتال أبوظبي الذي تملكه الشركة ويخضع حالياً لأعمال التجديد الكامل سيتم إعادة افتتاحه بداية العام المقبل، مشيراً إلى أن إجمالي استثمارات التجديد بلغت 200 مليون درهم.

وأضاف سيكون انتركونتننتال أبوظبي بعد انتهاء أعمال التجديد واحداً من أفضل الفنادق في أبوظبي من حيث عدد الغرف الذي زاد من 330 إلى 390 غرفة، وكذلك القاعات الجديدة للاجتماعات والمطاعم الراقية.

وتوقع الرميثي، ونتيجة للزيادة الكبيرة المتوقعة في عدد السياح القادمين إلى أبوظبي تحقق جميع فنادق أبوظبي بما فيها انتركونتننتال بين 2007 و2009 نسبة إشغال مستوي تزيد على 85%.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن قانون تأسيس المؤسسة الوطنية للسياحة والفنادق صدر في ديسمبر 1999 وقد باشرت المؤسسة عملها في فبراير 1998. وتمتلك اليوم أربعة فنادق هي انتركونتننتال أبوظبي والعين ودانات جبل الظنة وفندق الظفرة في الرويس، وتدير المؤسسة فندق المرفأ وفندق ليوا وفندق المفرق وفندق الراحة بيتش. ونملك مع مستثمرين آخرين فندق هيلتون الرباط.

وأكد الرميثي أن الاستراتيجية التي تنفذها هيئة أبوظبي للسياحة للترويج لأبوظبي نجحت في جذب أعداد متزايدة من السياح الذين تجاوز عددهم 2,1 مليون سائح عام 2005. وسوف نشهد خلال السنوات المقبلة ثمرات هذه الجهود التي تبذلها الهيئة ومؤسسات أخرى من أهمها شركة طيران الاتحاد.


Abu Dhabi InterContinental Hotel will re-open in early 2007. It will be one of Abu Dhabi's best hotels. Rooms have increased from 330 to 390, conference halls have been improved, and new restaurants will open. Total cost of refurbishment/improvement was AED 200 million.

It's expected that all of Abu Dhabi's hotels will have an occupancy rate of over 85% between 2007-2009.

2.1 million tourists visited Abu Dhabi in 2005.

they better get a move on if they want to open in early 2007!! Drove past the place last week and it looks a long way off completion
