This building has a lot of names actualy. It was also called Sony Tower, now it is colled something different than the blue tower but i dont know what.

I know why: too fat, too short and the glass is too reflexive.

I like it: fasade, form etc. - simple but good. However, it has too wide lower part of building, which takes too much place.

BTW, nobody in Poland call it "Sony Building" like I heard from foreign forumers. Now it carries the emblem of Peugeot. Here's the picture:

The tower is boring, but its base is pretty interesting

This tower was constructed on the very same
spot where the biggest of Warsaw's synagogues
used to be. This temple got blown up by Germans
during the WWII and unfortunately had not been reconstructed.
It's good the tower melts into the sky. In that way
it is less visible.

Reminds me of 20 Fenchurch Street (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?p=2294629) in the City of London - it's like a more modern version of that tower. I like it.

Actually, the construction started in the 70s. Originally the building had a golden-coloured facade. Then the building stood empty for almost 20 years (!!) for various reasons (Jewish protests, economic problems). In the 90s the facade was changed into the blue one and the whole building was officially opened in 1991. The design however comes from the seventies as far as I know.

I can't imagine Warsaw without this one. 8/10

Wow, looks much better with the older facade. Thanks for the pics.
Too bad they didn't restore it in its original colour.
The new cladding is way too (wannabe)futuristic.
The old facade gives it a classier look.
