The Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque is built on the site where Mohammed's aunt died. It is (if I recall correctly) the fourth most holy site in Islam. It is located near Larnaca airport in Cyprus, next to a dried up salt lake.

Turkish Cypriots still make yearly pilgramages to the site to mark holy events, and the Cypriot government has marked the site for special protection, and funds its upkeep and maintenance.

Olympiad welcome to this website. Yes, this place is really where prophet's aunt died, but I have never seen its pictures before. Actually this was an arabic place, but mosque is a Turkish mosque and remindes me of Bekek mosque in Istanbul. Actually this Turkish style was everywhere in the past. Even the Kabaa's Grand mosque in Mecca was Turkish style, but Saudi Arabia changed it and built an Arabic style mosque there. Are you Cypriot?
