I am sorry for posting this in English but my Dutch just sucks...

The city of Valencia just introduced (this weekend) the latest project concerning the new towers designed by Santiago Calatrava to be located on the site of the City of Sciences and Arts. The new project is composed of three towers; Torre Valencia of 308 meters (structural height) and 81 storeys, Torre Castellón of 266 meters and 71 storeys and to finish the “smallest” Torre Alicante with 220 meters and 57 storeys...

The final draft will be completed within 4 months according to Calatrava’ sayings and the construction could already begin by the end of the year...

Every single one of them is higher than the tallest of the Netherlands :ohno:..good job! And brilliant towers!

beautiful towers but I dont like the composition. It would be better if those towers had more distance from eachother I think (like 50 meters or something).

I don't know Dennis but Torre Valencia will definitely compete against the London Bridge Tower and that respect (tallest skyscraper in western Europe). Once again let me apologise for having posted this thread in the Dutch forum. I only had the intention to share this amazing project with you guys as we do on the French or Spanish forums. I just want to say by that, that it is quite common to discuss about foreign projects or topics in the French or Spanish forums. Besides, we are all Europeans after all.

My best regards to all the Dutch and your wonderful country!

Nice project but the render reminds me of an old development near the Amsterdam Arena. Looks like even Calatrava is prob. just like all the other architects, inspired by excisting things.

Nice heights, but an awful design!

Yeah, that's the real stuff, talking about heights... Three towers, that's also pretty cool.

Nope, sorry, do not like the design. The height of the three on the other hand is quite impressive!

@ Kika: I wonder what the purpose of these buildings (offices? appartments? both?) will be and whether they are already fully let or bought... Over here -in our more than one way SMALL country- that last criterium often is a 'showstopper' for building a tower; the greater part of the tower has to be let or sold in advance, before the developer decides to have the tower built... (for instance the Coolsingel tower in Rotterdam). So, what's the (short) story with these Calatrava towers? Some Rotterdam & The Hague city-councellors/builders may be quite interested in your reply...:) Muchos gracias!

Nice design. What creative modern architecture ought to be. The location of the project however is misplaced.

Very amazing, sounds like a skyscraper fantasy! But on the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if this project gets cancelled...:(

Maybe more skyscrapers will be design in a zone very close to these towers.
