The Mad Hatter!! March 2nd, 2005, 07:25 PM well i didn't want to go to school today,so i faked a sickness in order to not have to take my math test, and boy i'm i glad that i did..so i'm flipping channels and stop at the city of miami channel,i see that paramount edgewater is trying to get apporoval so i'm watching and all of a sudden brescia, the head architect from arquitectonica saids, just for you to see whats happening let me show you our future skyline he pulls out this long picture starting from paramount park all the way to blue, but they turned the camera after they passed onyx1 so this was all i was able to get.but all i know is that paramount park is huge :eek2: ,look at it compared to 900biscayne.also i don't have a clue what are those towers next to opera i'm guessing those are the herald towers.right now i happy but i'm pissed that the camera turned away before seeing platinum on the bay. :bash:

rider_of_rohan March 2nd, 2005, 09:07 PM Uptown how are you ever going to graduate and design future 1200 footers for us if you dont go to school and take your math tets???? j/k, very good catch
jzquince69 March 2nd, 2005, 10:17 PM That's HUGE. It looks like between 750-800'. Man, is that Ten Mus. Pk. to the right of 900? Its so small...
Bobdreamz March 2nd, 2005, 10:44 PM great find uptown but it's really hard to tell which tower is which in the first shot and jzquince69 just think 10 Museum Park is over 500 ft.!
Dale March 2nd, 2005, 11:25 PM According to that list of ballinboi's the building is 754 ft. tall.
The Mad Hatter!! March 2nd, 2005, 11:27 PM ONLY IT LOOKS CLOSE TO 800
The Mad Hatter!! March 2nd, 2005, 11:28 PM I WILL SAY PP,LOOKS LIKE A WHITE SLAB OF CONCRETE DESIGNED BY REVUELTA

MIAballinboi March 3rd, 2005, 01:01 AM great find uptown, well 900 is said to be like 740 feet, so this is like 15 feet taller,

BHK25 March 3rd, 2005, 02:17 AM Great work Uptown.
magic-city March 3rd, 2005, 07:14 AM Great find! :runaway: We must get a copy of this for our forum
Glad you played hooky to capture these images.
Can you make-up your math exam? Hope you can and you "Ace" it. :naughty:
Thanks again for all your good work!
Roark March 3rd, 2005, 08:44 AM RD1--ROARK VS UPTOWN=VICTORY UPTOWN
RD2--ROARK VS UPTOWN=......SERIES=1-0Uptown...I appreciate that you are skipping Judge Joe Brown to chime in with some goodness...but c'mon....hows about a Recount:
Uptown said Santa Maria=Jade
Roark said Santa Maria=round ends Jade = square ends
then Roark said square does not equal round
and then the little sarcastic if you can't put the square peg in the square hole.....special end of the school.....little buses ...jokes.
Maybe you were skipping geometry....but let's make a deal....let me know the next time that you plan on skipping school, get the rents to fill out a permission slip, and I'll pick you up and show you Revuelta building or two...with any luck...we can get Magic City to give us a history tour (he is ooozing with knowledge and passion for this city...but doesn't post as much as he should!!), if'n Canes can come along, he can lend some urban planning insight, Don P can lend some engineering ...Everyone is invited!!!! Speaking of Don P, if they still make Don Q...we can do some 151 shots so I can tolerate anyone that thinks that Orlando holds a candle to Miami.
Let's share the knowledge...If you see something I don't please help me understand.

jzquince69 March 4th, 2005, 12:25 AM If 900 is only 712' like previously stated on emporis, then Paramount's gotta be 800'. If 900 is that 740' figure, then Paramount's gotta be alot more. Man, Ten looks so small in that pic-- and at over 500' to boot. What a testament to the bulk of those other buildings. Even Marina Blue looks a little small. Imagine that...
jzquince69 March 4th, 2005, 12:27 AM So what is the status on Paramount and is there a better pic available? I hope its not going to be a white concrete n' balcony tower.
jzquince69 March 4th, 2005, 12:31 AM What is that building to the right of Ten Mus Pk? Is it the Marquis? If so, notice how its the same height as 900 Bisc.
The Mad Hatter!! March 4th, 2005, 12:33 AM next to ten,is marquis at about 680ft
mileageman March 4th, 2005, 04:08 AM I have seen the Paramount Park rendering, it is another glass arquitectonica stunner.
streetscapeer March 4th, 2005, 08:19 PM oh...cool...that districts lofts-biscayne midrise is a beauty...did the design get approved??:)....damn, I really can't imagine what Biscayne Blvd will look like in 2 to 3 years:)
streetscapeer March 4th, 2005, 08:20 PM I have seen the Paramount Park rendering, it is another glass arquitectonica stunner.

MIAballinboi March 4th, 2005, 11:25 PM loool dale
mileageman March 4th, 2005, 11:32 PM Sorry, for now I am unable to say more.
Roark March 5th, 2005, 06:23 AM ahh roark i got something here you'll enjoy its your fav.architect revuelta with his coke bottle glasses :hahaha:Solid!!! I never said he was my favorite, I just said that I appreciate the subtelty of his designs. They are neither generic or boring in my opinion. I noticed that whilst your ole lady was tailgating and driving on center line that you snapped a picture of a Ferrari and a Bentley. Ever notice how their designs are "cookie cutter". Very elegant and they use consistent design elements from one model to the next and from year to year. It's nice to appreciate Ferraris and Bentleys. You can see that there are differences from year to year or model to model, but the more you study, the more your realize that they are distinctive. Personally, I think that is great. You don't have to agree.
I think that if you put together a poll of the last 50 buildings to actually be built in Miami Beach, Miami's CBD/Park West/Biscayne Coridor/Brickell/Miami River and I'm sure you you'd agree that Revuelta is not generic in comparison.
Maybe I'm taking crazy pills, but I think Revuelta is leaps and bounds above most. How about Cohen-Freidman, Encinosa & Associates? Floridian, Yacht Club and Portofino, the Mark, and Brickell on the River?
Not sure who designed the Club with the lovely aluminum railings reminescent of the Motel 6 back in Michigan and that stunning green paint that was mis-mixed at the Home Depot and on sale...or the Vue that was torn between having glass balconies or cheap aluminum, so chose to have both...At least they spared no expense or sense of style with the baby blue paint job.
Not coincidently, the Collection sells those cars that you were photographing and Ugo Columbo, the owner of the Collection, also sells Revueltas.
