bu turkunun cikis noktasi hakkindaki bir rivayete gore rus işgali sırasında bitlis, bir harabe şehir görüntüsü alır. düşmanın çekilmesinden sonra savaş esnasında bitlis'ten kaçan bir baba ve oğul, bitlis'e dönmek üzere yola çıkarak şehre hakim konumdaki dideban dağı eteğine varırlar. baba, canlı kalıp kalmadığını öğrenmek için oğlunu şehre gönderir. bir süre sonra oğul geri döner ve uzaktan babasına şöyle seslenir: "şehirde yaşama dair hiçbir iz yok; sadece beş tane minare ayakta kalmış". bunu duyan baba yıkılır, diz çöker ve şöyle bir ağıt yakarak oğlunu yanına çağırır.

"bitlis'te beş minare, beri gel oğlan beri gel.
yüreğim dolu yare, beri gel oğlan beri gel."
