^^ When people construct illegal housings along bodies of water and they start polluting our rivers along with those manufacturing plants, we do nothing. And then Ondoy hits resulting to hundreds of death, they move to other bodies of water only to start polluting again, we still do nothing.
While this BNPP is legal, placed on carefully planned location, with a more environmentally friendly source compared to fossil fuels which contributes to global warming and Ondoys. We know the benefits it can do to our economy but, we'd rather keep our polluted rivers than give it a shot.
Besides, no tsunami has ever hit Manila and Bataan in its entire written history..am i right? and most 6-8 magnitude quakes occur inland. I say nuclear energy is still the direction even in our neighbouring countries.. we'll take care of ondoy if and when it comes. we're good with that.
Yes, at least the government can only worry on recovery efforts if they get wiped out by a tsunami caused by earthquakes along the Manila trench and not worry about the spread of radiation across the country.
