If anyone is in doubt, feel free to send a message to DMac or myself.
Back to the building,

Jeff from Winnipeg February 25th, 2003, 06:09 AM Whenever I see this building I know it's Montreal right away. It is quite unique IMO. But yeah, it is better from far away. ->7.5/10
NYClover February 26th, 2003, 12:58 AM Great looking building. I love the top. 8/10
The Messiah March 18th, 2003, 06:44 PM That's a damn good looking building!:)8.5/10
Evergrey April 8th, 2003, 07:32 PM 8.5 A wonderful symmetrical design. Superb top... looks like descending staircases with a glass cone emerging from the top.

Vloepkleedje August 12th, 2003, 07:12 PM 6.5
the symmetry does the trick. not so beautiful but impressive. not bad.
renell August 12th, 2003, 07:20 PM 6/10 i just hate the top. makes an ok scraper hideous. but it's setbacks makes it look like a classic scraper recladded
BGT August 13th, 2003, 02:10 AM 9/10
intervention August 13th, 2003, 07:02 AM It's pretty, but it's a shame that it's so low. 7
Gustavo August 13th, 2003, 07:42 PM It is very nice 8.5/10
Roch5220 August 13th, 2003, 09:56 PM Not a fan of Montreal's skyline even though I like Montreal,
Best skyscraper of the city even though my first impression seeing it was that it was stubby.
8.5

It's not my favorite... IBM Marathon and Place Ville-Marie are ahead.
For many reasons mentionned above... But it's in the top 10 in Canada for me.

airsickpenthousedweller August 30th, 2003, 06:55 PM I don't like this style, and unfortunately there are so many more of these.
Let's be harsh:
3/10
Winus September 2nd, 2003, 05:39 PM Nice façade columns, only the top is a bit too much. 7.5
Patrick September 4th, 2003, 09:16 PM 6,5 not my favorite
ryanr September 6th, 2003, 05:23 PM Its nice, the top looks a little bit strange though. 7/10
de flatneuroot September 6th, 2003, 08:46 PM looks better at night than at daytime 6/10
Building_lover September 17th, 2003, 07:05 AM it looks great in my opinion:)
Labrador September 24th, 2003, 08:04 PM 8.5/10
This is my favourite high rise in Montréal because the top of the building is really cool. The photo with the church ('Mini saint-Paul's look-a-like') in the foreground is interesting.
:)
New Jack City October 7th, 2003, 05:14 AM 6/10...I don't like the setbacks and the top, and the colors aren't all that great.
UrbanDesigner October 7th, 2003, 06:02 AM I want this building to be soooo much given it's relationship to Montreal's great Cathedral. It's almost there ~ forming a solid, unobtrusive back-drop to the Cathedral, but could it have been more interactive, enhancing the Cathedral????
7.5/10 (for what could've been MUCH worse! but could've been better?)
:booze:

biguc July 26th, 2004, 10:00 AM from the side it looks nice. i think it looks like shit from the front though. montreal has many buildings that are far better.
sayabec July 30th, 2004, 05:22 AM Look like the Empire State Building

unique design.
LibertyTwo October 3rd, 2004, 05:43 PM looks like a houston-style scraper to me
its ok
does nothing for me
a little too many geometric shapes going on, a little busy, like IBX Tower in Philly
5/10 its ok
Chibcha2k October 7th, 2004, 04:34 AM 9/10 i just love it....i like the way it looks with the mcgill tower in the skyline :)
Orfeo October 7th, 2004, 06:22 AM It is quite beautiful
7.5/10
Monkey November 15th, 2004, 09:39 PM The beige/olive on the facade seems to contrast too heavily with the blue/green. Also, the building seems rather wide and fat - could do with slimming down a bit. The sloping roof is okay but nothing new.
The setbacks on the lower part of the tower look great though; reminiscent of the Empire State Building.
7/10
MattSal April 1st, 2005, 01:24 AM A good defining skyscraper for Montreal. I give it an 8.5/10. :)

3tmk May 19th, 2005, 09:18 PM I agree, among the most famous Montreal buildings IMO
8.5
Liz L May 24th, 2005, 03:42 AM 7/10 - At last, a little bit of imagination! The facade REALLY dances with the light (I think I added a half a point for the way it caught the sunset in that one pic, even though I know the sunset isn't an architectural feature). The contrast between trim and glass adds variety, and it even (gasp!) has a setback or two.
BUT - while I really do appreciate this effort to move beyond the flat roof, somehow the pyramid seems heavy and awkward...
Henk May 24th, 2005, 11:25 PM Nice tower. 7.5/10.

Nouvellecosse July 3rd, 2005, 09:36 AM 8. I really like where this building was going but unfortunatly, it just didn't get there. If it been in the 270-290 metre range instead of 205m, I would have given a 10. We can thank the stupid height restriction that prevents buildings from being taller than Mount Royal for that.

Yes, la Cathédrale Marie-Reine-Du Monde (Marie-queen of the world) is a 1/4 replica of Saint Pierre de Rome. Except, Statues on the facade are not the same..

Scruffy88 January 3rd, 2006, 12:31 AM I love the crown. It looks good from all angles but the building underneath it is just too small to support it. A crown that size belongs on a 1000ft pedestal to really impress. 6.5/10
Moren-o February 4th, 2006, 07:37 PM Nah, there's something wrong imo.
Not that bad though

elkram April 3rd, 2006, 09:45 AM Lousy landmark for this city -- I see little imagination went into its design, too dated-looking too -- the city should go after timeless designs -- I wouldn't be surprised if that tower were recladded in about 40 years' time....
2/10
