This will be the headquarters of commercial bank, its nearly in the 12th or 14th floor, I think they will rech 20th floor in 2 months time, if you look closely at the photos of AL-Nasser towers on fire, It is right next to the commecial bank tower.

The structure almost looks complete except for the exterior off course.. here is a pic I took yesterday night.. Sorry for the horrible quality, but at least it is better than nothing.. On the background are the two Al-Naser towers (the right one which burned last year)...

Yes, its almost done, except for the glass and the aluminum exterior. It looks smaller than I expected, but still looks nice!

The original completion date was scheduled for september 2005, so it is running a bit late on the schedule--as with everything else in Doha.

I think they orginally had a problem with the foundation work.

Good tower but they gotta work hard to finish faster

I think that there will be a delay a little bit because of the fire in AL-Nasser towers, some of the portcabins used for Commercial bank tower were burned with some other stuff near it, you can see it for yourself, I hope this will not affect the progress of work there.

^^ I know, and there was a rumor going on at the time that this tower too was affected by the fire. But, maybe its just the portable cabins.

I think that this has been delayed abit because of the Al Nasr towers' fire. If it wasn't for the fire, this would have been finished by now I'd say...

Nice render; I was going to take new shots--but I saw the work is the same as suzan's updates; so i thought maybe next time Im home!

Do you think they will be done by the end of the month? Because of civil work should stop at the end of the month as DAGOC advised, just to avoid messy environment in the Asian Games. So all know that the towers will freeze for two weeks and come back to life after it... :(

The way I see it they shouldnt stop for asian games, they finished with cement and these stuff, so there wont be any environment issues.

You might be interested to know the tower will have a very advanced triple skin facade system. The heat is drawn out of a cavity between the layers of glass which enables the building to have such transparent clear glazing, not the tinted blue you find so often in the region.

DO keep posting, we all love to see the amazing developments taking place in Doha.

the glass of this tower is transparent.......its not gud coz we can see the interior wch is not complete......chek out the barzan tower or al nasr near that....it luks so awesome i mean the glass.....

this is a special tower with the only transparent glass in westbay

I wouldnt like being in an office with transparent glasses, that can be seen from the street..imagine the guy whose office is at the street level next to the traffic lights, where everybody stops lol...and I'm not saying this because I'm lazy at work :D

^^^I dont think anybody will have a street-level office--the lobby is only found in the street level. I hope they have heat resistance V-cool sheets or something. Its going to be real hotel over the summer.

They fixed the last few aluminum blocks on the tower?? Last time I checked they still had a few left. They removed the crane. That means in one month it will be completed.

yes we should wait a month as you could see the inside of the 1st floor there is no glass
