Introduction:
As the saying goes, nothing lives forever. This applies to architecture, and buildings as well. What happens to beautiful European architecture when hard times strike? Who says that ruins can't be beautiful?

In this thread, we will vote for our favorite ruins.

Voting Guidelines:

Each member has to vote for exactly five (5) nominees on the list. Do not vote for any less, or any more. There are no exceptions! The votes of whoever chooses to disregard this rule will be omitted from the final count.

Do your best to vote as honestly and fairly as possible, putting all of your biases aside. This does not mean that, for example, you cannot vote for your city/country. It means that you should vote for the nominees that you think truly deserve to be in the top league.

Review all of the pictures posted for the nominations, even if you think you remember all of them from the nominations thread. This will refresh them in your mind, allowing you to make a wiser choice.

@iMariah it is obvious (for me) that Parthenon is the surest winner, so I'd like to give chance other structures, which i like much, and it's like comparing Warsaw with Paris - just not the same class :)

---------------EDIT----------------
now I see looking on the poll, that maybe I was a bit wrong hehehe

The point is to find Top 5, so even if (in your opinion, not necessarily others') the Parthenon wins, there are still 4 places to fill! ;)

How the HELL did I miss the nominations for this, because Diocletian's Palace in Split is by far most impressive after Parthenon!

Sorry about that.

Remember we have a schedule, which tells you exactly when everything is scheduled. The nominations ran for a week, so I'm not sure how you missed them.

I don't see why Jacek wastes his time voting only for Poland when it clearly states you have to vote 5, no more, no less. His vote won't get counted. I don't get it :(

I don't know why...but I really thought Travnik was gonna get it. :D LOL I didn't know Pathenon was in it.

But I am VERY glad to see Pula doing so well! I think truly that city is deserving! :)

Probably because Parthenon has influenced so many classical and even modernist architectural movements in the world. Personally, I can't even begin to understand how anyone with half a brain would find it ugly, but to each their own.
