Is the 7 year payment offer still available?

Hi Guys,

Im an employee at Better Homes and this is one of the properties on our portfolio.

The 7 year plan which was available on all the 2 and 3 bedroom flats is no longer available due to the fact that we have sold out all 2 and 3 beds. This took us a period of 2 months from when we first announced the payment plan.

All we have left are 1 bedrooms, however there is a possibility of us getting the 7yr plan on the remaining 1 beds. The payment plan is fantastic as you only need to pay 30% before getting possession and then paying the remaining 70% over 5 years interest free.

Below is the payment plan for the 2 and 3 beds that we had. 1 bed payment plan should be the same should we get the approval.

5% on reservation
5% after 4 months of signing the reservation form.
5% after 8 months of signing the reservation form.
5% after 12 months of signing the reservation form.
10% on completion of lakepoint. (End 07).

I have no idea why the board and the site offices are right on the wall of what seams to be a district cooling building, some 100 meters or even more from the construction site it self :weird:

Getting back to the update, the constructed structure looks like it's been bombarded with bombs!

Does anyone know what is happening with this development. I hear that there is a dispute between developer and owner. I also hear that Betterhomes have dropped this property from their portfolio leaving their clients high and dry...

I am guessing at least 15 floors should be up by now looking at that may update... why not give better homes a call and find out

The tower is growing constantly so around 15 will be a good estimate.

it would be good , close to Canal Point project, IBN Battuta and Interchange 5.5 , but completion in 2007 is difficult , I think.

No problem :) We have our appartment on the 12th floor, so this is not quite far away. I`m not sure if there are many 1 beds left. I`ve seen them only on secondary market. Think the people at DRE are ok, we have already had a meeting with them in February. Do you have any problems with them?? I think their main deal is Lakepoint but they also have other offers at "gulfnews". Do you like to tell me where are you from??

We are from the UK. Not had problems with DRE as such, however, we have not been able to get any information from them directly! :ohno: Do you have a point of contact there? Not exactly sure when we are out in Dubai, but definitely want to have a met with them.

Last few weeks we have a new gossip about the new location of the Al Burj, somewhere near the JLT site and yesterday I found a site with soil testing and small board.
So , this is not 100 % sure but good sign.

Are there any recent photos? DRE have informed us they are 'anticipating completion in May 2008'. LOL :ohno: Has anybody had any recent contact with DRE? They do not appear to be answering my emails!

DRE had updated that the building will be ready on June.

DRE told me today that Lakepoint will be complete by September. Does this seem realistic, given the mid-day break rule during July and August? Has anyone arranged access to the tower with DRE? Coming to Dubai in October and they say access is no problem and can be arranged. Is this likely or will I be given excuses nearer the time?

Hi, We had an email on 3rd August. It said that it was going to be completed and units handed over, as per contract. Didn't specify a date. We are coming out in October and I have emailed them arrange snagging visit. As yet had no reply. I have also heard that some apartments are almost complete and white goods are expected in the next four weeks :) Although, pool area, car parks and roof top are not complete.

Access to building is ok. There is a ramp up between N1 and N3. Was told that car park was done, but not entirely sure how that would be accessed and wasn't given the opportunity to check. Have had a request for final payment by end of September :ohno: I am no expert, but, I cannot see how so much work will get done in the next two weeks? Back out mid October.

Can you share the charges demanded and finally what was approved by RERA. We at Icon Towers are fighting the case currently so it will help

Sorry for delay in reply. Developer is now requesting 15AED per sqft. This has not yet been approved by RERA. Will keep you posted.
