Welcome back to Shikoku. Here are the pictures of Day two of my tour. The highlight was the Oboke gorge.A little late.About 2 months too late.Sorry about the delay.Infact I was back there just last weekend,my first Tandem passenger ride, enjoying the sights of Kochi prefecture, not far from the gorge. Please sit back and enjoy Day 2 on the back of the skywave.I was too busy riding to take too many photos. The light was also not really suitable for taking pics.

ALL CAPTIONS WILL READ FROM UNDER THE PICTURE.

The inter-Shikoku highway. After a quick curise over this bridge from the city of Takamatsu,I arrived at the start of the Oboke gorge.A wonderful sight.

Small moutain side villages line the gorge.

Houses clammer together along the river that cuts its away deep beneath the towering moutains.

The road in some sections follows the moutainside high above the stream

Kurabashi bridge. The most famous of all the traditional wooden thatched Edo era bridges in Japan. Not only were they necessary for transport.Waring armies would cut them down to slow down the enemy in battle.

Another one of these traditional bridges. This one is much higher from the ground.

The snow was very light in the gorge.Nothing like what I expericence last Sunday(March 13th) while touring back in the area.It was very heavy.Photos of that tour another time.

The road that took me there. What a dream to ride.

Route 32 from Takamatsu to the city of Kochi, where I was just last Sudnay,is one the best roads to tour on in the country.Gentle curves at a nice crusing speed of 80km/h makes it a perfect ride for the skywave.

Lovely Pics Nick

we are lucky to have you on this forum, because pictures like this are very hard to find, as most people don't travel by road in Japan so you only see the cities.

Very well maintained roads can I add

thank you
Max

p.s look forward to seeing the next lot.

p.p.s If you ever come to london p.m me and we can arrange something (that applies to any Japan forumer)

Short 'n' sweet. I'm guessing you took loads more pics but you selected your faves, and these really are good - quality composition in every shot and, as usual, the kind of views only you get to see. Cheers for sharing!
