Not bad, architecture is poor thougth. Shape is nice.
Best place to take photos is from Singapore. I can see the tallest few from my house peeping above the trees.

Thanks for giving us several quite different shots of Johor Bahru, Baqthier! Somehow I have the feeling they add up quite nicely to a whole impression. Actually, due to their different colors and heights, make up for a quite interesting and varied skyline. A 7.

8/10 from me ya....The skyline isn't bad, look at its population which is so little compared to other world class city. I think it is the third best city in Malaysia... :D

Well, JB is quite small.I just went there a few days ago ,and I saw several stalled highrises ,just stopped there in the middle of building.

There's one blue building with a round top that had been stalled for over 2 years now.I first went to JB 2 years ago.When I went back a few days ago ,the building still looked what it looked like the last time I went there.

Well, this is another hard one for me to vote. Personally i am from malaysia, but had already move to the uk. The building in malaysia compare to the building in UK is totally different.

Old city can be beautiful, and a new city will be as well.
Personally i feel that JB still require even more and more buildings. Lets see what happen in the future as there are a lot of commotion between JB and singapore.

It really matters on where you've been in JB. There're always run-down areas and nice ones. Depends on which ones you look out for. ;) In terms of non-capital city skylines in SEA, JB does very well, with Penang in the lead.

JB is pretty unsafe even in the center area :( beggars & thiefs everywhere. Many of my friends' goods have been stolen while being there.

That's if you compare to Singapore of course. I think it's still a relatively safe city compared to other ASEAN cities but no doubt it's still the city with the highest crime rate per capita in Malaysia.

Not a bad place, I've actually been there once, but I think it suffers from "Overshadowed Border Town" syndrome...it's like Windsor to Detroit...Tijuana to San Diego...Malmo to Copenhagen.

JOHOR BAHARU, May 10 (Bernama) -- The new Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex in Bukit Chagar here will open its doors to the public in October, Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said.

He said that the RM1.26 billion facility was 99 per cent complete and would be handed over to the government on June 1. Government bodies are expected to move in beginning July.

A total of 18 government agencies will move from their old premises at the Johor Causeway to the new CIQ complex in a process that will take about four months.

"The CIQ facility will be a catalyst to the development in southern Johor in line with the government's effort to develop the Iskandar Development Region," he told reporters after visiting the complex here today.

According to him, the opening of the CIQ complex would coincide with the completion of the "Short Term Access" linking the Causeway and the CIQ building in September.

To a question, Samy Vellu said that the final cost of the new CIQ complex was RM1.26 billion as stated in the contract.

The sum does not take into account the compensation paid in connection with the aborted bridge to replace the Causeway.

He stressed that the government's decision to cancel the bridge stays.
