I give it 7.5 because of topography and architecture. Needs more highrises in the distance to form a great skyline.

As a skyline, well I just can't really vote as there isn't one. what I mean, a skyscraper skyline.

But as a city that's a different thing. Stockholm is very nice and has some wonderful waterfrontage.

Unfortunally, I have only been in winter. I really want to visit in summer and take some nice photo's.

There's a couple of newer tallish buildings away from the city centre, but not enough to form an impressive (tall/dense) skyline. I loved Stockholm when I was there, especially the Spy Bar and has beautiful buildings along the innumerable waterfrontages, but the skyline just isn't good enough!!

Howdy neighbour! Unfortunately you got the same problem as we over the bay do - nice churches and all that but absolutely no skyline...
So under this topic I can´t give this skyline more than a 4...
Maybe they should´ve built Turning Torso in Stockholm?;)

Stockholm has several skyscrapers, but they are not taller than 30 floors and they are not clustered together. Kista Science Tower is in the outskirts. But I must admit that the city has a beautiful skyline with the churches and spires, though it could be even better with skyscrapers. And I think the lighting could be much better after dark(as you can hardly see the city hall from Södermalm by night).

well i dont wanna talk bad about my hometown but the skyscrapers in Stockholm are plain ugly , really old style highrises like skatteskrapan for example (I think most european cities have bad looking highrises and skylines, compare to the US or asian cities) but the city itself is very beautiful with the greenery and the clean water ;)

I live in Stockholm and unfortunatly I have to agree that Stockholm has a terrible skyline. The skyline is dominated by church spires. Hötorgsskraporna is 4 ugly middle rise buildings compare to asian cities and american cities but here hötorgsskraporna is the coolest buildings in town (that says it all). Stockholm is a beautiful nature city but skyline is 1 out of 10 :(.

I live in Stockholm and unfortunatly I have to agree that Stockholm has a terrible skyline. The skyline is dominated by church spires. Hötorgsskraporna is 4 ugly middle rise buildings compare to asian cities and american cities but here hötorgsskraporna is the coolest buildings in town (that says it all). Stockholm is a beautiful nature city but skyline is 1 out of 10 :(.

Anyone who quotes Yngve Larsson should not be taken seriously. Norrmalmsregleringen was pure vandalism nothing else.

Stockholm, like other Nordic cities, looks impressive from above mostly due to the city's setting, the architecture, the church spires and the density. Very beautiful but not what most people would consider a "skyline".

Hötorgsskraporna look seriously great in certain angles like the one above! :cheers:

Someone would seriously have to be quite gay not to think Helene Fischer is utterly irresistible!
I´m the last person who is manipulated by media... believe me.
I can´t stand people who are and who are completely fooled by it.
But the wedding was surprisingly enough very impressive and
showed my city in a very nice and wonderful way.
Nobody can say otherwise.
