To be honest, I don't like modern architecture when it comes to religious buildings, honestly I find all these religious objects you guys have posted rather dull execpt the Lichen Basillica but are you sure that is modern?:S

I don't think that Lichen Basilica is modern at all, albeit an impressive building.

I think it was constructed not too long ago.

Here is another Polish church - Holy God's Providence - im not too fond of the metal part at the top though - I think this project will be a wait and see how it turns out kinda. It may just look more impressive in real life then on my computer screen.

Not totally modern but not old, built in the 1960s the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral in Liverpool, UK.

This is the mosque and Islamic Centre located in the Croatian capital of Zagreb. Definately regarded as one of the most beautful modern mosques of Europe:

the first Mosquee in Lisbon was building long time ago under an old Roman temple, after de reconquest of the city by the Crusads in 1147 the Christians built a Catholic cathedral, in the 80s the islamic community made a new big Mosquee in Lisbon, the minaret looks like a Zigurat of the old Babyloni, sorry the side of the pic, I dont find a big one :(

The church - San Franciscode Asís y Santa Clara- in my district in Salamanca> Spain. Its a small catolic church -Franciscan- contructed about 10 years ago. The more original is the semicircle wood vault in the inside of the temlpe.

I mean say that it is quite alike to the DOMUS Museum in La Coruña> Spain, constructed by Isozaki about 10 years ago. I think so.

I doubt that there are any real modern churches in Germany. There was a church building boom after WWII, but I don't know one church from this time which actually looks good. And nowadays there are far too much church buildings in Germany. The church organisations cannot maintain all of them anymore due to lack of practicing christians.
