Dennis March 23rd, 2005, 07:49 PM TOKYO is such a nice city, i just cant wait to see her with my own eyes, WOW !
birminghamculture March 23rd, 2005, 08:29 PM Great pictures
If you compare these to the London street scene pictures however its so much more crowded and annoyingly bright lol.
London seems a lot more chilled and relaxed, which I tend to prefer, mainly because I like to have a nice cold pint watching the world pass by without being blinded with big advertisment boards nevamind how sexy. which alot of these pictures are.
cladiv March 23rd, 2005, 08:47 PM Great pics! Thanks for sharing!
Tokyo is such a beautiful city.
PornStar March 23rd, 2005, 09:28 PM Ahead of our time? I can't really see why...
Otherwise yeah, Tokyo is a real charmer. Nice pix.
Ashok March 24th, 2005, 01:22 AM Great pics
-IAMQUÉBECOIS- March 24th, 2005, 01:29 AM Funny how people are jealous that their city isn`t as technological as toyko is.
Sonic from Padova March 24th, 2005, 01:45 AM WOW!
Renkinjutsushi March 24th, 2005, 04:50 AM Those are some really great pics. :okay:

funny how this guy has to compare everything to london when he doesn't even live there. :ohno: I sense alot of jealously,
anyway this is a great post with great pictures of a city that has long surpassed london, but thats a whole 'nuther topic.
elfreako March 24th, 2005, 11:19 AM http://img21.exs.cx/img21/6821/aa329vz.jpg
WTF? Are those girls on the billboard for rent?
Childish King March 24th, 2005, 03:26 PM http://img21.exs.cx/img21/6420/aa271kt.jpg
Anymodal March 25th, 2005, 12:08 AM ok, tokyo is a great city.
also, its one of the biggest cities on the world (to not say, the, biggest). so, i will like too see some photos of tokyo 50 or 60 blocks away from here, that would be cool.
sander March 25th, 2005, 12:41 AM Wow, I haven`t been there, but I think that it`s one of my favourite city.
Aboveday March 25th, 2005, 08:51 AM TOKYO,the capital of asia.
N/A March 25th, 2005, 09:50 AM http://img21.exs.cx/img21/6821/aa329vz.jpg
i would try the one 7980 yen.:booze:
if Tokyo had more skyscrapers, it would be more like the capital of Asia. :)
kiku99 March 25th, 2005, 05:12 PM nice nice really nice:) i like Tokyo.
luv2bebrown March 25th, 2005, 05:18 PM i want those streets in my city
bnmaddict March 25th, 2005, 05:30 PM Tokyo is awesome, but I really don't understand why would these advertising boards make the city ahead of our time. Do you think in 20 or 30 years every big city will be covered with those boards? I hope not, imagine the coliseum in Roma, or the Eiffel tower covered with advertising boards...
I prefer New-York, as "modern" (aka Times square if it's relative to big boards) and definitely more chic and beautiful. :)
Jue March 25th, 2005, 06:18 PM Tokyo is advanced in everything from vending machines to automated ticketing systems to consumer electronics. As one wise man said, if you cannot find something in Tokyo, then it has not been invented yet.
makodo March 29th, 2005, 10:21 AM wonderful but 2 many wires in the sky
lumpia March 29th, 2005, 10:33 AM ^the wire thing is common throughout asia thou, as opposed to what happens in europe and US where wires are underground, so its a regional preference: Maybe they like black lines cutting accross the "naturalness" of the sky :D :jk:
:D:D:D:D
TOKYO is GREAT! It's Metro area is the Largest Urban Expanse on EARTH>> 33 million ppl live within the massive 2186 km sq which makes up Tokyo! It is the MOST densely populated capital on EARTH) :D:D:D:D:D
TokoyTokyo is the Future today :D
東京
Shawn March 29th, 2005, 09:01 PM You can repair downed suspended wires after an earthquake much faster than you can underground wires. It does look like crap though.
Anymodal March 29th, 2005, 10:27 PM ^^i would be more worried about have to spend thousands of dollars in replacing the underground cables that making the city look pretty

Dennis April 13th, 2005, 01:00 PM if Tokyo had more skyscrapers, it would be more like the capital of Asia. :)
Nah i dont think tokyo needs more skyscrapers to be the capital of Asia, i think it is now, its the biggest city in the world huh ;)
Victoria April 13th, 2005, 07:30 PM Wow, great pictures. Tokyo is amazing. :)
maxxam80 April 13th, 2005, 08:27 PM Tokyo is definetly not the most densly populated capital in the world by a long shot
Seoul, Beijing and Mumbai have over twice the pop density as Tokyo
edubejar April 14th, 2005, 02:05 AM Tokyo is definetly not the most densly populated capital in the world by a long shot

by a long shot??? Regardless, when you consider how many many many more cities Tokyo is denser, 3, 4 or 5 denser cities is quite insignificant. Then consider the poverty that exists in a city like Mumbai or even Beijing...a find a prosperous or highly middle-class density much more impressive than a very dense city with a lot of poverty, slums, etc.
Tokyo is simply amazing!
gma May 15th, 2005, 09:18 AM great. supower modern city!
superchan7 May 15th, 2005, 09:28 AM Technology does not equal greatness. I like Tokyo, but technology alone does not define Tokyo...nor should it define a "best city." Great pics.
Urban Dave May 15th, 2005, 10:13 AM :drool: Someone has about 2000€ to go there for holidays?
KhApZ! May 15th, 2005, 10:14 AM It is a magnificent city!!
cmoonflyer January 11th, 2006, 10:33 AM The seem as Taipei...
Skyscrapercitizen January 11th, 2006, 12:56 PM incredible!
A42251 January 12th, 2006, 01:02 AM Its the biggest, richest, and most modern city on Earth. It is also the safest and cleanest major city in the world.
There are places with higher peak densities than Tokyo, but no place is as dense as Tokyo over such an extensive area. When I rode the Keisei train from Ueno to Narita, I saw nothing but concrete for the first hour of the hour-and-a half train ride.
